I used the coupon since I wanted to use up my Borders Bucks which were expiring this month. But their store prices are very high. Even with the 40% off coupon the CD was $11.39 at the store. The same CD sells for $8.97 at the Borders web site.

This site - www.visitborders.com - seems to have disappeared. Has anyone found it elsewhere?

I think they are trying to replace the weekly paper coupons with this new gimmick. You give them your cell number, they text you a code to tell the cashier at checkout.
I tested it out this past weekend and it does work.
No spam texts yet...

After some searching, I found the following coupon for 20% off one item, valid through 5/12/2008. So it appears they still have the coupon expiring a week after the current date, in addition to the text message option mentioned above.

Boarder Discount with AARP card
Thought this may be of interest.
Present your membership card at any U.S. Borders, Borders Express and Waldenbooks stores and save 10% off the list price of all paperbacks.
Valid year round.
Membership is $12.50 and age does not seem to be a issue. I actually joined because someone here mentioned that it gave 20% an annual membership if you use the link www.medjetassist.cm/AARP. Immediately for a family of 4 that equaled $62.50 savings for the medjet annual membership. The lady I spoke to about joining said that ANY number from AARP worked for the savings. Her point quietly being that you did not need to be the member to use it.
