Thumbs up Great e-Rewards Experience

I figured I would let everyone know about the good customer service experience I just had with e-Rewards.

I had just over $50.00 in e-Rewards in my account (I redeem them on a regular basis and have never had a problem before). I wanted to redeem the $50.00 for 3,000 HHonors points. After clicking redeem and verifying my address - I received an error message "Temporary Internal Error" or something to that effect.

I emailed customer service (from their website) and received a response in less than 5 minutes. Problem solved.

Way to go e-Rewards!

That has been a chronic problem with e-Rewards for some time now. It usually takes me a few tries to get it through.

Hmmm, maybe it's just me, but I wouldn't consider this a great experience. Yes, it's nice that they emailed you back promptly and corrected the problem. But that fact that their website often encounters troubles is frustrating. Overall I've been satisfied with E-rewards, but I don't consider them a great company.

I definitely agree that their website could be better. According to the woman who responded to my e-mail - the problem is with the hhonors site. The transfer is done instantly...something to do with not receiving a response from the HHonors server. Who knows.

I just appreciate the quick customer service. I deal with many companies on a daily basis purchasing materials for the company I work for - and many of those companies won't return an e-mail or phone call for days.

Just thought I'd post a positive experience.

Safe Travels,
Chris

I got that same error message six times in a row as I tried to redeem just before the e-Rewards expired. Just got it through with minutes to spare. That'll teach me to wait until the last minute!

Oh, and what is it with e-Rewards in general lately? I've gotten six e-mails in the last two days, and two surveys, one for $10 and one for $4.

I've gotten 2 surveys in the past two days. One was $10 and one was $8.

I'm not complaining... although I could complain about how long it takes for the reward to post after completing the detailed surveys.

I dont know what I`m doing wrong. I`ve been an e-rewards member for about 6 months, and I've never received more then $2.00 for a survey. I`m at $10.00 after 6 months!

I've been doing great with e-rewards lately. Seems every week I'm getting at least one high-value survey offer. Just got one for $10 today.

Maybe I'm the only one, but they've been great about posting the rewards, and then transferring the HHonors points into my account.

adding my experience;
i've now redeemed 3 $25 rewards
one for AA 1000 miles with any flight
two for Blockbuster movie rentals.

Each of those redemptions went thru without any problems whatsoever!!!
Even the bonus AA miles which I always worry about when there's a 3rd party/partner involved posted within a couple weeks of the flight.

Definitly seing a patterns of their emails & offers targeting my business versus personal questions if that helps any of you.

Quick question for those of you who have redeemed e-Rewards $ for AA miles. Do you have to click on the redeem link and then purchase your flight through the link? Or if I've already purchased a flight through AA.com (just last week) and now want to redeem e-Rewards for AA miles, how do I do it?

Thanks,
Mike

Yep, you can purchase the flight via aa.com. There is no link provided by E-rewards to purchase the flight. There's only a link to redeem the reward from them. Then you can purcahse a flight from aa.com. It's also ok to purchase a flight from aa, then redeem the award. You don't have to redeem the award before booking the flight.

Ok, that sounds great, I purchased a flight from AA.com last week and would now like to covert $50 in e-Rewards for 2,500 miles. Once I redeem, how will this award get posted? After completing travel, will it post to my AA account? I'm not really clear on how it would match up with my account or be able to track my flight activity. I figured you had to enter an e-Rewards code on the AA.com screen while booking or something.

Thanks,
Mike

It will post automatically. All you do is redeem the reward on the site, and you're all set. It'll post directly to your AA account in something like 4-6 weeks after your flight. It's very easy, and I've never had problems with the miles posting.

I'm ready to cash in my e-rewards AND have an AA flight booked --

How long does it actually take to receive the certificate/voucher/coupon (whatever) from the date you request it?

Thanks......

It's instant. You don't receive a physical voucher. You'll receive an email confirmation that you've redeemed e-rewards $ for the award. Then all you have to do is fly, and the miles will post automatically a few weeks later. Very easy.
