Afraid not. I just explained on the other thread that I got an email explaining I was closed out for using their site in a way that is detrimental to them! I only used the links that were provided by them for tupperware, none that were provided in posts or threads. It was their site that issued points, etc. I certainly did not hack my way through. I don't know if they will listen to reason. I sent them another email.</font>
I still can't see how buying Tupperware is detrimental to them. I would assume every time you use the Tupperware links to buy stuff, even a $1 gift certificate, Tupperware gives them a commission. But I'm thinking of cashing in my chips right now, to get myself a $100 Circuit City gift certificate with my points. But again, once I do that, maybe then they'll close my account saying I abused their system. If that's the case, MyPoints is basically worthless, since they can decide at any time whether you get anything, or nothing, for your points.

I don't think this one has been covered. I just received my monthly newsletter "Connections." In it was another link to Tupperware, with 800 points. I bought another $1 GC and received the confirmation e-mail. However, the browser choked and I never got the MyPoints "click here" message. Not sure if I will get the 800 points but it is another avenue for perhaps someone else.

A quick question... When your account is disabled do you get and e-mail or is there just a message when you try and log-on to your mypoints account?

Just wanting to know and hoping I will never have to see for my self and can learn from others.

Thanks in advance

One could make a good argument that since we are pushing the rules to the limit, they have the right to do the same to us, using the carte blanche that their terms give them. One could make such an argument, but I won't. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

I heard through the grapevine that Mypoints and Tupperware are going after the people who changed the Tupperware gift certs from $5 to $1, then took the 800 points. It'll be interesting to see what happens.

Since you used a credit card and didn't get the ordered merchandise, I would think you could file a claim with the credit card company to get a refund. I know, it's only a $1.00, but what's fair is fair.

If they're in a snit about the gift certificates, why couldn't they just refuse to award the points? The points don't appear in our accounts for a day or two anyway, which is certainly enough time to figure out what was ordered. (And the dollar amount, which is probably what they're really after.) On the other hand, since the Tupperware offers don't mention a minimum order amount they really have no valid reason to withhold points...

One more 800 points offer - look at the bottom of today's "connections - Your March Newsletter".
Worked for me. Says weekly, too.

No jump screen incidentally.

You are unwise to allow so many points to sit in your account.

I just put in my request to redeem my points for $100 in certificates. I'll inform all here of its progress ( assuming I'm not dragged off to MyPoints prison http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif )

I tried to cash out my account (no I don't let them sit to long) for 3 walmart cards and the the amount has been "pending" for about 1.5 weeks.

The Mrs. also cashed out her account and they are still "pending" also.

However the Hilton points did transfer...Go figure..

The links from the emails are individual to your account. You can't use someone else's link.

I think it is pretty clear that Tupperware intended for the minimum gift certificate amount to be $5. The fact that the amount wasn't adequately protected doesn't change this. It's sort of like someone shoplifting and then saying "but the store didn't have a sign that said I couldn't just take things."

Speaking of shoplifting when a shoplifter gets caught should they simply get told "we caught you, you did something wrong, now give it back" or should there be a penalty for the wrongdoing?
