PROBLEM.. I just went to Mypoints and tried to do my second GC for $1 (and 800 pts.)at Tupperware (first for wife and I we did last night successfully). From the main page I went to Account Stmt. and signed in. Then went to Shopping and clicked on the Tupperware banner. Went thru the whole process and when I clicked on the "Mypoints members click here" to redeem ponits.. I got a popup window that said I had to Sign-In to Mypoints. I entered my user name and password and BAM got the same sign-in window again. I tried to sign in several times and it DID NOT work. Failure!

I opened anaothe browser (both I.E.)and tried it again with the same results. Did they finally get wise or is Mypoints broken?

Thanks huangFT for that pop up window hint. I have tried and tried and was never able to get it until I used your tip.

You are welcome! Glad to be able to give something back to the FT community as I have been helped by many others.

From the messages on this thread, I believe it is important to sign in explicitly before ordering anything from Tupperware.

When you log onto MyPoints.com, the navigation bar on the left hand side said Welcome, "Your Name". You should click on the link below to login anyway.

I believe the "Your Name" part of the message is from a cookie MyPoints puts on your machine but doesn't mean you have actually logged in. Looks like there are a lot of people had problem when they skipped this step.

Hope this helps.

huangFT, I also thank you for teaching us this command. It worked for me tonight. Last night I was unsuccessful getting the popup. So nice of you to teach us!

I just hope I can remember it for the next time I need it.

Back a zillion years ago when this program was called Bonus Mail, I had was confused about my husband's account getting points for something I bought and I called them. If you don't LOG OUT, you are STILL LOGGED IN when you come back (If your name shows). They SUGGEST you log out if you do MYPOINTS from work becasue you ARE LOGGED IN UNTIL YOU LOG OUT, even days later. You only need to VERIFY information for certain areas like reading statements and redeeming points. If you happen to clear your files or cookies, it will be obvious that you need to log in the next time you visit the site.

I have always gotten proper credit when our names show when first coming to the site for tupperware, Amtrack, etc. I have not logged in for a second time for the heck of it.

This is the same for Milesoure or Milespree. If your name is there, you are logged on to THAT account. If there is no name (or a differnt name), there is no account logged in at that time (or is logged on to the other name's account).

Help. I did re-login and I still get the pop-up window at the end of the transaction asking me to log in again. See post below. Very frustrating. No points. Phil

I had the same thing happen last night. In a few minutes my MyPoints balance showed an increase of 1 point. But this morning there was 800 more points http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

I believe that if the 800 pt bonus link is not showing, as in quicklist, you will not get the bonus. I tried and did not get bonus, only 2 pts

I did the Supperware $1 GC thing 6 times. I got all 4800 points but my account also shows 6 points as "pending." I have no idea where they came from but I guess that I got one extra per transaction for some reason. Has anyone else seen this?

Yes, if you click on the small banner in the shopping section, you get 2 points per dollar spent. This is recurring, and I don't believe there is any limit to the number of points which can be gained in this manner. So, you got points for three dollars in purchases.

It's finally working and I get the 800 points pop up window. Thanks to all.

HuangFT, thanks from me, also for that labor saving tip to bring up the pop-ups. I was finally able to get some orders in by switching to IE from Netscape. This is pretty amazing. I hope my points show up, too. Thanks to you all.

This afternoon I tried #7 (Merchant List) from the list TheWaitress put up and got the perpetual sign-in popup instead of the congratulations popup. So I tried this evening after logging out and in again. This time I got the Sorry, This award has expired page. I'm not sure what that means.

I was able to do #s 1,2,3,4,5 and 8, so I'm hoping to see 4800 points in my account soon. I was never able to get #s 6 and 9 to show up, and I did a whole lot of refreshes.

All in all, MyPoints has been pretty fun recently, despite the loss of Max.

PaulMSN Mar 17, 2003 9:38 pm

Okay, I couldn't get #6 (Earn Points: Small banner under "Great offers") to show up. But I had the number (238201), thanks to TheWaitress. So I copied the link from one of the other small banners, replaced its number with the number for Tupperware, and it took me to the site. One more $1 GC, and a Congratulations popup. That's 7x800 points today (I hope). Thanks, dbmaury and TheWaitress.
