HI Maple, I didn't mean for anybody to withhold 5 stars when they think they deserve them. I also was just passing on the warning from IGOUGO. Everybody needs to do what they want. I just wanted to let folks know. I really didn't mean to upset anybody. I have had someone come in and rate one of my journals with all one stars before the editors rated it. I got a high content rating from the editors on that journal so I know it is frustrating. Again, I was just passing on the message.

No misunderstanding here, I truly meant to thank you for passing on the message. It always helps to know and understand what goes on behind the scene.

And yeah, to get single stars for any one entry is bad enough... so getting single stars for all your entries must have been traumatic!!

Dglawless -- don't let Maple get to you http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/cool.gif He had a very good point that it was weird how so many of us got a ton of 4 points at the same time -- in my case I deserve them (maybe less on some) but so many didn't!
You just happened to warn us (Thanks for that) at the same time. It is fun to see **** appear for the first rating (would have been crushed by * the first time!), but you made the valid point about the editors -- their opinion is the one that counts.
Guess if you don't like the journal just don't rate it, since your viewing counts for just as many points!

Thanks, I have enjoyed reading journals from the folks here. I will keep reading and often I just don't rate them. It is quicker to read and not rate them. estnet--I think I am getting points from my old journals from WAY back in 10/12. My point total has grown by 500 in the last week.

I think I will add my cruise trip in the next weekend. It was 12,000 words, 75 pictures, and 1700 gay men on a boat to New Orleans at Mardi Gras.

Do not get your hopes up, it is rated G.

Added - just looked at my ratings and noticed that I have HUGE numbers of views that don't count (well huge for me 110 views - 89 go point views) on many of my journals. Remember that you must be signed in for views to count! Oh, maybe I just have some loyal viewers who keep coming back to view my journals again and again http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

Thanks for the info dglawless. Will keep that in mind for future voting. I always fell a little strange voting "Very Highly Recommended" for a page listing a hotel name and address saying it was a nice place to stay.
