I'm at my brother-in-law's place and will run through the list. Maple--I have hit many of your pages already. I'll need to come back and re-read them sometime when I go to these places.

I'm only at 6500 miles with IgoUgo.

Chipper,

Thanks for dropping by. In fact, I think I would like to thank you for bringing IGoUGo to FlyerTalk. It's been such a great help.

Cheers.

Edited to add: Congratulations to MarkR37, Tiffnco and Estnet for having made it to the Top 50 Newcomers List! Bravo!

I just hacked through Tif's, Mark37 and est's lists. It turns out the est lives just a few blocks from my office in Menlo Park. I may need to do a review of the underside of MP and Palo Alto Dining.

Hi guys,

Thanks to everyone who has read my stuff and sent me nice notes. Doess anyone know

Do high ratings from anyone other than the editors get you extra points (eg if editor rates it highly and it meets certain criteria sometimes you get extra points)

How long does it take them to award the extra points for things like dining entries, high content journal, etc ?

I discovered you can only have 5 guides on your favorites list http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gifso I have had to resort to a written list so I can keep up the line.

Bad day -- dup Again

Whew! I think I visited everyone -- for at least one journal! There were a couple that have not posted anything yet. I put everyone in my 'fav' list so I can come back and do the others -- if y'all would just not write such wonderful journals that I have to read every word of then I would get thru this a lot quicker! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif.

estnet,

High journal ratings from fellow guides do not earn you any extra bonus points.

In my experience, points from accommodation and other stuff get posted about 3-4 days after you last save your journal. It seems to me that they have several different editors reading each section at different times and speeds, and points are thus awarded separately.

I am glad that FTers are finally making the effort to check out each others' entries! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif It's been fun and very effective, let's keep the conga goin'!

Cheers.

cat333, you read them all? Wow! I'm first just going through each chapter of each journal and just voting. I've made note of some I want to go back and read later. It saves a lot of time. If I get caught up in reading them, I lose track of where I am because they are so interesting.

All,

I've just completed a couple of trips and have caught the writing bug also. If someone can use a referral, just send me an e-mail.

Andrew -- you have mail :-)

Yes Nanook, I read them -- can't help myself, most of them are so great! Reading all the entries here makes me envious, but those sure top the cake! That is why I have read only one each so far!

For those of you that might be interested, I did a travel Journal on Montana. http://www.igougo.com/gtools/viewjou...JournalID=6103

Thanks for the visits everyone.

cat333,

You get the referral. I'm going to write
journals for my trips to Mexico City and
Vegas.

Edited: My trip report for Vegas is now available. My guide name is also AndrewShih.

I have just reviewed the new journals entered by MarkR37 and AndrewShih. Lotsa good work I must say. Have fun! At the same time, I would specially love to THANK Cat333 for her wonderful and most gracious support! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

Maple thanks for the cudo's, but it comes from having 'no life' -- lots of time to read and dream -- besides y'all write such wonderful stories!

I only have one entry so far, and only 7-8 people have viewed/ranked it. I know 4(besides Maple) of you have come by, they left me a note, so I am plodding thru their (I say plodding, because the reading is so great it takes me so long). I think I have visited everyone else once.

I hope everyone leaves a quick note ("Kilroy was here") to let me know they came by. There is so much to read that I am only going back to those that came by my simple entry. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/tongue.gif
