I am thinking of joining but I have two questions -
Can people give me an idea of how many points they have acquired (that is those who have made an effort I realize it is a lot of work)

Has anyone actually been able to redeem an award? That is is this for real?

Who is next on the referral list?

IGoUGo becomes sheer hard work only if you do it for the sake of points and miles. I enjoy writing and sharing experiences/pictures, so the points are just icing on the marvellous hot fudge brownie. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif

I have been with IGoUGo for slightly over a month, and have netted 8,000 points. No big deal compared to the top journalists who have a whopping 100,000+ points. Plus I haven't really put much into it as I plan to seriously do it up over summer.

Once you attain 25,000 points, you can exchange it for 5,000 AA miles (or other stuff for less).

I guess nobody is using the email referral program. But if you wish to help me out, you could pass me your email address and I could refer you. I get 500 points for that.

Joined a long time ago, but didn't bother. I just got that writing bug back, so maybe I'll do a couple. You can't refer me, but I'll check out some of your journals and you can check out my three. My name is Joebm on IGOUGO.

Okay, everyone with a journal has some kind of rating from me. Your also on my list of favorites so I can find you again. some of you had no journals. Get writing. I will try when I have some time to write.

I have found that some of the gifts are better deals than the miles. I recently redeemed 5,000 points for a $25 gift certificate at Amazon.
