When you're making a prepaid reservation, perhaps. You never mentioned before that all this was happening on prepaid reservations.
This is a key difference in a prepaid reservation. The fees on a prepaid reservation are computed by Avis central (I would think). But the fees on a "pay later" reservation are computed by the particular Avis facility.
I don't know how many other people here use prepaid reservations. It could be this only happens with prepaid reservations?
I have never done a prepaid reservation on the Avis site in my life. Avis rates often decrease about two weeks out or so, and with non-prepaid rates I can always update then, be with prepaid rates I'm stuck even if the rate later goes lower. Also, if I have to change the rental, say because my flight gets cancelled, it can be very hard with a prepaid.

Disappointed to see this as I have a week long trip to PR coming up in October and a 3-day car rental would be perfect.

Coupon # MUHA021 now gives 9,000 CC points
Make sure you use MUHA021, not MUHA018 (I just used MUHA018 and received 7,500 CC points at LAX - drat!)
Plus, use with AWD # G639300 for 25% discount on time-and-mileage charges

You should be glad you received 7500 bonus points with MUHA0018. With MUHA0021, you would have likely received zero (0) bonus points!!!
It's been reported both here and in this Avis forum thread:

that MUHA021 is completely unreliable, while MUHA0018 is very reliable. Most people think a very reliable coupon for slightly fewer bonus points that you actually get is way better than a completely unreliable coupon for slightly more theoretical bonus points which you never get.
By unreliable, I mean that Avis claims it will work when you make the reservation, but when you return the car, you've earned only the few base points, and when you inquire about the missing promo, nothing ever gets fixed.

Hi _ iam trying to book in Brisbane airport and I am getting
"This station does not participate. Valid at corporate/participating licensees in US and Canada."
anyone know why? the rate is much lower than other awd codes

Odd.
Try making the booking, then call Club Carlson to confirm. Check if the code appears on your confirmation.
