I thought the landing page was suppose to tell you if you were qualified for the 50,000 points. And once 50,000 people register it would change to say 15,000 points.

It's not clear if one or all of them will get 50k points, but it will be interesting to see what time the cut-off got hit.

I recently asked a Club Carlson representative that very question (can you buy a room for someone else) and was told I could, which makes sense. Just make sure to include your account number on the reservation, of course.
On a sidenote, I appreciate the ease of registering for the promotion, but I think it's crappy on Club Carlson's part not to inform you if you're in the 15,000- or 50,000-point bucket when you register. I understand why they'd do this -- some people, such as myself, wouldn't stay for only 15,000 points. It's crappy nonetheless.

The landing page https://www.radissonbignightgiveaway.com/ still says 50,000 points. When it changes to 15,000 points that means 50,000 people have registered. So, we should all be good for 50,000 points.
And don't forget that you get the 50,000 points on top of the 2,000 points you get for reserving online and the points you get for your actual stay (20 points per dollar if you don't have CC status and 30 points per dollar if you are silver or gold)

If for some reason the stay doesn't post to your account, and you submit for credit and they ask for proof of payment -- not sure they would but they could -- then who knows. It's been a problem with some places, sometimes but not always. Mostly, I wouldn't expect much if any problem.

"We are offering 50,000 Gold Points, enough for a FREE night stay at any Carlson hotel in the world, to the first 50,000 Club Carlson℠ members to register for the promotion and then stay a minimum of one night at any Radisson or Radisson Blu hotel in the US, Canada or Caribbean."
Which we think means you get registered for 50,000 Gold Points. The wording should change to say "We are offering 15,000 Gold Points, etc" once the first 50k have been registered.
