This leg is still one month and a bit away (21 of sep), so I can't order it yet but it's already showing up in the booking. (And yes, in the given details it says it's an A380 J and F feature on flights out of DOH)

Hi, are the row 1 seats on the A380 the same all the others or do they offer extra leg room, space etc.? Are the PTV's the same or are they on the wall? Thanks.

wheatbeer Post 2 of this thread states that in the First class cabin "All of the seats are the same, and offer the same amount of legroom, seat space, and comfort levels." !

Does the A380 A/K seats in J have storage space by the window? I can't really tell from the googlemap cabin images.

Yes, but it is rather small. In fact, I think the window seats in Economy on the upper deck have a larger personal storage bin.

Have a question. Am travelling on QR A380 in Y to BKK and seats booked are Row 41 (Second row downstairs). Looks to be next to the stairway - Does this see a lot of foot traffic ? Is this a busy part of the plane ? Or actually a quiet private section ? Any advise appreciated - thanks.

Almost nobody aside from FAs walks these stairs during flight
But I believe you have some toilets up front downstairs...

There are nine A380 in the Fleet of Qatar Airways. Is there any Difference in the Seats (at any Class) between the first A380 from September 2014 and the last Model from December 2017? Emirates renewed some Parts of the Seats during the Time.

I don't know about J or F, but the Y seats were newer in my more recent A380 run on Friday (QR3) with larger screens and no handheld Android remote - touchscreen only.

To enjoy the best view out of a window in business class, is it recommended to get a seat as far forward as possible? Are there any seats with badly offset windows?

TIA,
Bulkhead

Hey all,

Does anyone have experience booking the Upper Deck Y seats with companions? I'm OWS but my travel companion(s) are not, will I be able to select seats on the UD for passengers in the same PNR? Some carriers "extend" the status to pax on the same reservation but I was wondering if QR did that too. Thanks!

Yes but QR will cancel the UD seat selection for non status passengers 72 hours prior to the flight. So you should arrive early at airport (3 hours or more) to ask them to put back your companions on UD before someone else grab these seats.
