Does anyone have any idea about the duration of the WY A332/A333 leases? I mean, sure, they do have a super decent J class hard product over QR's own A330 but now that the A350s are starting to come back, isn't it time for them to leave along with QR's reactivated A330s?

I for one hope they stay as long as possible. Imho a window apex suite seat might be the best J hard product currently flying (including q suites).

The dinosaur A330s are still scheduled on BKK even as far as April next year …guessing they’re still playing catch up at this stage so might see the ancient A330s hanging around a bit longer. Ramping up all China flights with PVG, PKX and CAN all going daily 77Ws soon seems like the priority.
While they have the A330 scheduled quite a way out including for the new route to TLS, I noticed that since the reactivation of almost half the A350s they have been confined to a shrinking set of routes. Since the 1st of May the 12 A330s have been flying the following routes:
- Indian sub-continent with the longest route to DAC.
- Within the Gulf (mostly Saudi) and wider region (CAI, AMM, BEY, IKA)
- ALG, WAW, NBO, IST.
Hopefully this trend continues and it becomes more of a short haul jet till it is phased out.
I love the seat for sleeping, even though its shorter it feels longer due to not having a footwell as you have the length for the whole width of the seat. One of the trade-offs of the seat is the lack of close in storage and no flat 'counter' space for my devices and books, I don't like the proximity with the other passenger too despite the partition so it isn't my favourite when I will be awake for most of the flight.

Some interesting history on seat evolution N1Rotate, thank you. I agree there is probably a clear winner just waiting to be designed that combines all of the learning from each iteration of this and other seats (including qsuites).
QR are still some way off the size of their operational widebody fleet pre-A350 groundings, with 16 awaiting repairs. And some future deliveries are delayed both because of that spat and ongoing delays to the 77X. So it makes sense that old and wet or dry leased aircraft from other sources would be lurking for a while, and some routes shared with others, whether we like it or not. But with 4 or 5 competitors seat products* operating their network on top of QRs own eclectic selection (plus one more if you include the S7 seats on the 737), it's not great for consistency or brand. (*I'm including CX, VA, WY, AY, MH). It seems like it's probably a good time to be really maximising the soft product to distract from the hard product inconsistencies.
The QR A330s are still ok for a daytime short haul flight so let's hope thats where they stay (I saw one scheduled to DXB in a couple of weeks). And seeing them scheduled to eg.BKK this far out for early 2024 is no real indication of whether they or any other aircraft will be on that route then. 4-6 weeks before the winter schedule starts we can no doubt expect some more fast paced rounds of musical chairs

Does anyone have any photos of the QR 737 MAX 8 interiors? I've scoured the Internet but haven't found anything, and QR has been reticent about featuring anything beyond their press release about the type's entry into service. The explicit mention of the "Oryx One Play Wireless Inflight Entertainment, rather than the Individual IFE screens which will be available on the Boeing 737-10" reads as though no seatback IFE has been installed on the planes and they'll be rather barebones, but I'm curious to see how they've fitted them out anyway.
Thanks!

Flying on the 351 in a couple weeks DOH-SFO in Qsuites. Incredibly excited for my first trip on QR. I’ve been geeking out watching plenty of YouTube reviews and I’ve noticed that some of the A350 airframes have motorized blinds similar to what I’ve seen on EK’s 388 and on LH in their F product, but some don’t. How widely were those installed? Anyone know which tail numbers have the motorized blinds?

Minus the S7 colors, its literally the AA Kodiak 7M8 cabin. (Which is not a good thing for a premium carrier like QR)
