The fleet type codes such as 77P or 77K are what can be used to identify the type of aircraft under "Check Routing" on www.qrcargo.com. The aircraft type on QR Cargo is fairly accurate if you search for a flight within the current calendar month.

roussell why on earth would QR offer ipads to passengers on flights as short as 45 minutes?
This is what QR are providing and there is nothing we can do about it.

My flight is 5h50m in J class. It doesn't seem unreasonable to expect some form of IFE...!? Most airlines would provide something in lieu of a lack of AVOD.

On the JRO route, if you do get an aircraft without AVOD you will get an iPad pre loaded with content in J class.

oh_lol what refurbishments are you talking about? The only project that I know of has yet to start because the new J seats are not available until at least March. Then two to three widebodied aircraft per month will have the new seats fitted. It will take several years for that project to be completed.

Hi, had an aircraft change on PSA-DOH to A319 8 seats in business but struggling to find much info on seats and whether still angle flat or flat?

if is angle flat do QR ever permit change to route with flat or is that a No No?

thanks

ajm1972 if your PSA-DOH is really with an A319 then you can be sure of lie-flat seats since both aircraft are configured with 40 J lie-flat seats only. The two A319s are transferred to Qatar Executive and are all J seating. Please check your information and get back to this thread.
In December the route was, with one exception, serviced by longhaul A320s with lie-flat seats.
QR, like most other airlines, only guarantee to fly you from A to B but do not guarantee a particular aircraft type. A change of origin/destination because of a change of aircraft type is not something QR will do easily. It can be done but it is difficult and requires great perseverence but usually fails to happen.

Few minutes ago MyFlightsApp sent me a notification for the same aircraft swap: 6 Feb PSA-DOH changed from A320 to A319. Also for the return 10 days later.

If they really did it, changing to the all J A319, I could partially understand as they probably have a lot of J passengers due to the AKL delay + a lot of J promo fares to Asia... but what about Y passengers?

Well what a mess! Either
1 Someone has made a big blunder,
2. QR are converting the A319 to two class aircraft again OR
3. They have secretly purchased more A319s. So secret that even N1Rotate has not heard of them!
I choose to think the first option is the most probable. But who knows?
The second option is also possible since there are still Y seats available!

The A319 will be used again in a J/Y configuration back in the mainline fleet as a bridge until more aircraft are delivered.

lol... well, in this case I am not exactly directly involved as it's my mother's flight

On a more serious note, I would rant only for a not lie flat seat during an overnight. I found comfortable even the "old" standard recliner seat on day flight DOH-ZNZ

The A319 will be reconfigured this month or already has been?

Finally, something to be worried about...so many months without any change in my flight tickets (qr+others) got me bored.
