Anyone know if QR is restricting F awards on the A380 flight to/from LHR? Can't seem to find a single F seat on QR3/4 on their website.. The rest of the flights (A346) have F available..

From QR's web-site, for a late June 2014 travel date:
QR003 (A388) F DOH-LHR = QAR21,020 First Flexible (no First semi-Flexible available on this particular flight) - approximate equivalent GBP3,420.
CAI-DOH-LHR (including QR003 F) = EGP13,559 (First semi-Flexible) - approximate equivalent GBP1,150.
So, for one-third of the ex-DOH price you can sample QR's A388 F cabin by flying ex-CAI. Forget award travel; just get yourself to CAI.

Sounds like a great opportunity for the luxury inclined traveler.
Not bad at all, actually. I am seriously tempted, but can't find the time this summer unfortunately, and I don't expect fares like this to last for very long...

It's not a 'special' or 'limited-time' fare; it's QR's standard First semi-flexible A388 fare - you can purchase tickets at this fare on QR's web-site for travel into 2015. Of course there is no guarantee that QR won't raise fares generally across the board in the future; however historically QR have maintained the level of other ex-CAI F fares for the best part of twelve months.

It was going to be QR 39 in the original link if I'm not mistaken (before it switched back to the A346) so that would be my best guess. I don't think it's been officially announced which service yet though.

Has there been any word about when we can except CDG to be upgraded to A380? Or the next LHR departure? I'm considering speculatively booking CDG/LHR-DOH before the equipment change to get to try A380 F.

There appears to be an issue selecting F A380 seats on QR's web-site; so I'll contact them to resolve that.
Once again, thanks to all those who have contributed to this thread. ^
A quick phone call to QR in Doha confirmed seats 1E and 1F for the missus and I. New airport, new A380 - looking forward to it.
Having previously been unable to select F seats on-line (I still can't) I called QR two weeks ago to reserve seats 1E and 1F. These seats were confirmed, both on the e-ticket receipts (two different booking references) and the expertflyer seat map.
Out of idle curiousity I checked expertflyer this morning to see how many other F seats were taken for our flight. To my surprise, and dismay, our own seat reservations had been deleted (confirmed by re-checking our e-tickets on-line). Happily, another call just now to QR in Doha has re-instated our seat reservations.
However - for the 14 DOH-LHR A380 flights next month - for the 112 (14 x 8) F seats available (17-30 June 2014 inclusive) only 3 (including the 2 for my wife and I) show on expertflyer as having been reserved. While our flight currently shows F6 P0 A0, a further 8 flights currently show F8 P0 A0, 4 flights show F7 P0 A0, and the other one shows F6, P0, A0. Has QR really only currently got a grand total of 8 F passengers for its 14 A380 DOH-LHR flights in June (i.e. currently 104 empty F seats) - or am I mis-reading the situation?
