G'day DUF
I'm doing a day trip - as last year. I expect I'll go into town (BNE) in the morning then back out to the airport for the meeting at an appropriate time.

Which flights are you guys taking to/from Sydney? Happy to provide a ride to the airport like last year.
I wish I knew! Still undecided whether to go:
  • The passive stay-at-home for AGM
  • The active day trip to SYD to head up for AGM
  • The very zealous F lounge arrangement before AGM

And apart from that: I'm currently marking final assignments and exams, both of which must be finished by tomorrow. Booking tickets is almost the last thing on my mind....

EDIT: Finished marking exams & assignments. *phew*

I think some people are giving up flying to OOL because there was the prospect of an FL run by using JQ19 SYD-OOL(-KIX), but the schedules aren't on our side for that.

So back to your run-of-the-mill options, or high-roller other options....

What anat0l was saying is correct. The flight some of us wanted to take was moved from Saturday to Sunday. So no international JQ flight SYD-OOL. Thanks for the offer anyway!

See this thread in QANTAS forums and this thread in Mileage Run forums.

I've found out I'm expected to be overseas for a wedding in late Feb - so may have to be scratched from this event.

Will know more in the next couple of months and will update my status.

New Qantas Australia Wide sale covers the dates

75 biccies from Sydney, $115 from Melbourne, $135 from Adelaide, $199 from Perth (only $159 to Sydney).

What Syd flights are people on?? (apart from og the cheeky one)
Jetstar 4pm-8pm fares from Syd are 69 on Lite and 79 on Saver, so a very good qf deal

I'm now Gold for attendance.

JQ484 NTL-BNE and JQ487 BNE-NTL. Yeah - I know , but at $39 each way I can put a with a fair bit.

My selective reading, and my inability to make my poor addled brain note the date that this was being held was a day that I'm flying back home to BNE, meant that this had completely passed me by until Bundy Bear (thanks BB) pointed it out to me a short while ago.

So put me down as a Gold for attendance and a Platinum for status.^

I guess that I'll be seeing a few of you in the MEL QP in the late morning as well!

Do I get the prize for the most extreme way of getting there? Flying to SGN for a week and then back via MEL? I'll even make sure that I change out of my QF PJs before I get there!

Its OK to wear the F PJs, but the J PJs are just - too common.

Better still, were the old BA F PJs in navy blue with the big "FIRST" across the top .

As I live closer than 10kms to Brisbane airport I will be there.

Mark me Gold attendance and lowly Bronze for status.
