A CL membership comes with a complementary QF Platinum FF membership, so a CL member is entitled to all Platinum benefits. So for international lounges, CL gets the same as Platinum FF.

Qantas has not indicated where in BNE/SYD/MEL terminals the domestic business class lounges will be located. They may use the existing Chairmans Lounges or they may build new facilities. Time will tell.

There is plenty of roof on T3 in SYD that I'm sure they will utilize. I would expect also that they will keep with the current escalator arrangement in order to access it.

Now it would be lovely if they built this new facility in a way that gives plane spotters like myself a better view of runway ops.

It was sent out as a Program News email. Are you set to receive Program News emails from QF?

Sorry to bump this thread, but a quick question...

If travelling on UA from Sydney, is there any difficulty getting to the other side of the terminal to visit the QF F lounge? Do you have to exit one immigration departures area, and enter the other to get to the other lounges?

No you don't. There is a long corridor that eventually gets you to the Qantas side. It is a long walk though so factor that in.

Note that long corridoor will shortly become a construction zone (and I wonder if the terminals will be temporarily disconnected)

before turning into a new retail area of the airport

Hmm, changing from a long corridor to a long shopping mall .

Saw the expansion news last night on tv. It certainly seems as if T1 will be in for some major work and not all of it involving Macfields concessions. Probably taking this thread off topic so I will post a new thread relating to the expansion and relevant links.

As I did not receive any letter/e-mail from QF, I'm sure I'm not in the free renew slot. But would they throw me right back to silver, that is the question I have for myself at the mean time.
From my own experience, you never know what QF will do. I have been WP for the past 7 years and my membership year ends 31 May. In February of this year I had 450 SCs and 2 QF sectors with no prospect of doing any more flying before August. I was resigned to getting knocked back to SG but, at the end of February, my new WP card arrived. Go figure.

The following quote now also appears next to the International Business Lounge Access for WPs on the QF website:

Must be travelling, not necessarily on Qantas, British Airways or Jetstar to access the lounge. From 1 April 2008, you must be travelling on the day with Qantas, Jetstar, British Airways or any of the other oneworld members airlines to access the lounge.
I hope this is an error because the E-Mail was saying there is still anytime access to international J lounges.

Nah that's a typo that dates back to the original change. Obviously it hasn't been corrected yet. Does someone want to send a quick email to Qantas Feedback to get ir sorted?
