As for lounge access, it should be no problem for SG's. For the last six months at the SYD Domestic Lounge I have simply shown my card on entry. It has not been scanned in this time.
(Unless there have been QF people watching this forum carefully and they decide to be extra vigilent on the day.)

serfty - well we will soon fix that. ^
For all Qantas staff reading this, the date of OzFest has now changed to the weekend of June 3-5 - please note your spy log sheets accordingly.
I promise this is correct and accurate information.

While I won't be able to make it, I have a bunch of QP guest passes which I won't be using. These are the ones that allow for guests of members above the normal allowed limit. I think I have at least 10.
ozstampsPM or email your address and I'll put them in the mail!

Put me down as a "Definite maybe" for the Saturday arvo festivities. I will be flying CBR-SYD that afternoon, but won't know which flight until closer to the date. So I, as an SG, will be able to get someone in on my arriving boarding pass (unless you have all p888ed off from the QP, although based upon wha I hear from last year, and the Xmas do, you might be there all night!)

(btw, what is the link to the report from Ozfest 2004? Since search ain't working, I can't find it).

If you have some of those free passes (i.e. the ones that get people in without being with a person who has access rights) they still work and will be of use to anyone not of SG or WP status or a QP member. But the other ones are now mere antiques.

Theres a line in the first post of this year's thread to The Weekend's "Official" Report.
The actual thread can be found here..
How are you thinking of booking? You could take a punt on an award T or X class after the 24th May and get a return for 16,000 points +++.
Today you can book a return for ~$182 (inc.).

qasr - thanks for a most generous offer. ^
I too am amazed that they will not accept these as a ton of folks must have them, quite oblivious they are no use any more.
Anyway, Field Marshall QFWP has kindly offered to muster the troops for the final assault on the beachhead.
A more able Commander In Chief would be impossible to imagine, and I'd bet my house the objective wil be fully secured, the marines all ensconced, and the HP's a-flowing by about 1.30pm.

If you are a Plat and if you have the time Saturday around 1.30pm or so, the other Plats could use use your help with escorting in those folks going into the Qantas Club.
I have pencilled it in...should be OK and would love to do it. Can only really confirm closer to the time as I am in and out of the country frequently, and it changes on a weekly basis.

infoworks - thank you. ^
And thanks to any other Plats that may be able to assist in that way.
Another Platinum member meloz who anyone at the SYD Xmas party met has kindly offered to do just that. He has a very heavy business workload on that weekend, but nonetheless has said he'll make himself available to assist Field Marshall QFWP on the day.

Dave - just added you to the list. Why not catch the earlier flight and be SURE to hook up with us in QP?
