Refund Form

Hi all,

I tried to search for what I was looking for before making a new thread, however couldn't find what I was looking for.

I had a cancelled Qantas flight a week or so ago. Okay, no problem - these things happen. I called customer care and they said that the cancelled flight is eligeble for a refund, however this cannot be completed over the telephone. They said I have to complete and send in a refund form, however I cannot find any such form on their website.

Does anyone here know what they are referring to?

Does Qantas have an email contact address?

After a little more digging, I believe Qantas are referring to their Customer Care Form. Link: https://www.qantas.com/nz/en/support...back-form.html

I'll report back if this all gets resolved so others can benefit.

That sounds odd. I cant see why this just can’t be done over the phone. The operator has established your identity (through your FF pin), they know flight details, PNR etc, you should be able to quote your cc number for a refund and that’s it. Or am I missing something?

Probably goes against their revenue targets.

Turns out that the 'Refund Form' I've linked to is in fact the form to use, however I was skeptical given the menu options provided when using it, as it didn't specifically refer to a ticket refund.

Yes, I agree, I thought it was odd that my ticket couldn't be refunded over the phone.

My ticket has been refunded, via the Customer Feedback Form.

Upon submitting the form, I was contacted some time later via email and given the option of a travel voucher.

As I had booked a Flex ticket, I opted for a cash refund instead, which as of today has been processed - I'm just waiting for the funds to show up at my end.

Original ticket was CNS - SYD - CBR in Economy Flex. I requested and received a refund on the SYD - CBR segment.
