Do you have an onward flight?
If so you could use the Domestic Lounge(s) in T1.
(FWIW, a Qantas Platinum has same day arrivals access to Domestic Qantas Clubs/Business Lounges) http://www.qantas.com.au/travel/airl...egory=qcLounge

The airports would gladly provide arrivals lounges - if they could make a buck or two hundred from them. And the buck or two hundred would have to be in the realm of car parking charges to make the temptation come to reality.

While using the search function is always a good idea, lets try to be nice and help the OP by pointing him in the right direction:
A short search brings up the following thread: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/qanta...melbourne.html
