Hmmm, I went to Licorous 2 weeks ago and was pretty unimpressed with everything, especially their small plates. And, it was fairly pricey for what we got.
We had 2 drinks there then mosied diagonally across the street to Cafe Presse. It's been the craze of the Seattle blogs, been mentioned here and in Seattle and Seattle Metropolitan magazines. It definitely lived up to the hype. We got some great, inexpensive food and drinks. And the atmosphere is pretty relaxing.
For Indian, I've become a fan of Tandoori Hut at 2nd and Vine.
Besides that, November is in a few weeks which means "Twenty-Five for $25". But nothing has been released yet.

Opal? Really? I've heard some BAADD reviews (overpriced, not good food, bad waitsaff). It's down the street from my house, so next time I'm in need of some overpriced food I'll go try it out.

It should be noted that the same people that open Opal also own Orappin Thai on QA (gag food) and also Chinoise (random mix of Thai and other Asian foods). None of these places are good. Average at best. I've had better Thai food served out of sidewalk carts. I have to agree, Chex, pretentious is a good adj.

Restaurant Zoë is still on the list, so that will be a definite stop for me!
- Now called Dine Around Seattle
- There are now 30 Restaurants (35th Street Bistro, Barolo Ristorante, BOKA, Mixtura and Veil are new)
- The 3-Course price fixe menu is now $30

Gag. I can think of some better places (IMO) to drop $30...plus I haven't been very impressed with Seattle versions of prix fixe meals. They ususally aren't the best. Maybe...just maybe I'll take Chex's rec and go to Zoe though

Went along to Etta's this evening and with the Dine Around Seattle deal had a very enjoyable evening. The service was casual but attentive and the mussels were fantastic.
The local Pike's Place ale is also worth a shot.

What are the other high points on the D.A.S. list? I'm sad to day I've only been to 7 or 8 of these restaurants - always been pretty happy with Brasa and Campagne, and I wouldn't bother with Sazerac again.
