Top 10 Booked Restaurants on OpenTable.com
1. Restaurant Zoe 2. McCormick & Schmick's Seafood - Bellevue 3. Ray's Boathouse 4. Barking Frog 5. Dahlia Lounge 6. Palisade 7. Etta's Seafood 8. Brasa 9. Sazerac 10. Tulio For great food at more reasonable prices ($15 - $25 / person, including a glass of wine) I'd go with the following, not in any particular order: 1. Bell Street Diner (Seafood: On Alaskan Way, below Anthony'd Pier 66) 2. Coastal Kitchen (Seafood, menu changes every 3 months: 15th Ave and Republican St (I think) in Capitol Hill) 3. Pyramid Ale Brewery (American: On First Ave across the street from Safeco Field) 4. Gordon Beirche Brewery (American, Pan-Asian: Top floor of Pacific Place Mall, 7th Ave and Pine St.) 5. Mama's Mexican Kitchen (Mexican: 3rd Ave & Lenora (I think) in Belltown) |
Hands down the BEST burger place in Seattle Red Mill Burgers http://www.redmillburgers.com/ ^ ^ ^ Don't tell the heart Dr. you'll be eating here or he'll start planning that trip to Monaco soon.

Open late, near the I-5, north of the airport... A good place to meet a friend for a (very) late snack before a drive up to Bellingham. Suggestions? -xj

As a Seattle native I am embarrassed to say that I will be going to The Crab Pot on the waterfront.
Can someone explain those “Seafeasts” again to me? Is two orders good enough for four people? “Seafeasts for two! or more Our Specialty: We take a variety of fresh seafood, steamed with mouth watering spices, we pour it out on the table on butcher paper, give you a mallet, bib & let you go at it!” Here are the options. Any favorites? “The Cove” - $13.95 per person Red Potatoes, Corn on the Cob, Andouille Sausage, Shrimp in the Shell, Mussels and Steamed Clams. “The Westport” - $19.95 per person add Snow Crab and Dungeness Crab “The Pacific Clambake” - $24.95 per person add Snow Crab, Dungeness Crab, Halibut & Salmon and Oysters. “The Alaskan” - $29.95 per person add Snow Crab, Dungeness Crab, and King Crab (does not include Halibut & Salmon or Oysters) |

Can someone explain those “Seafeasts” again to me? Is two orders good enough for four people? I guess it's not that bad, it's a mess of seafood, steamed, seasoned, and informally served. It's not local seafood, so there are far better choices to be found in our fair city. We went to the Bellevue one, and the thing that really made it a 'never again' situation was the abysmal service. Abysmal doesn't describe it - more like hostile. I think we had the Westport. The only difference between the selections is the seafood included so order what you like. They didn't skimp on the more expensive items. I would say that 2 servings would feed 3 people well - I would order 2+appetizers for four people. |
Thanks for your prompt reply RocketGrrl!
We are using a gift certificate and will have our nearly-four-year-old with us (so actually 5 people) so at least I know he will have fun. It is good to know that they don't "skimp" on the more expensive items. I am torn between the Pacific Clambake and the Alaskan. Without knowing the value in ordering King Crab I think I might stick with the Clambake. For those that care here is a list of some of the Starters: Steamed Mussels $7.50; 1/2 Ib. Shrimp in the Shell $7.95; Crab Cocktail $9.95; Local Steamer Clams $9.75; Crab Cakes "Our Specialty" $10.95; Raw Oysters on the Half Shell $8.95; Smoked Salmon $8.95; Popcorn Shrimp $7.25. I think it is funny I am going here after being critical of tourists who visit this place thinking that they are getting Pacific Northwest seafood. Last time I was here I was a child - it was just me and my dad who past away last year. |

It seems that the normal 25 for $25 is a tough list to get on (promotion to be a part of) and a bunch of "up and coming" places around town have gotten together. ^ No complaints here. Cheaper prices make it eaiser to get back to Crush! :D |

I went to Vios Cafe this week.
It's at 19th and Aloha. Family Greek food and excellent at that. Their lunch menu, served until 4pm, is a lot more substantial than their dinner menu. Their lamb burger in a pita looks especially fab-u-lous. |

In addition to excellent food, Vios has the most pleasant atmosphere of any restaurant in Seattle, IMO. The place is just happy. Great for a big group.

On top of Queen Anne...
Betty 1507 Queen Anne Ave N It has been open for a month or so now and is owned by the same guys who opened Crow. It was packed on tuesday when I went. The menu seemed limited. I'm glad I went to try someplace new, but I'd rather head to CROW instead next time. And the new Via Tribunali is opening up today at 317 W. Galer (2 blocks from TJ's). |
