94 Stewart

I haven't see 94 Stewart mentioned yet and it needs to be.

A block from Pike Place Market, this place is owned by a family that can really cook. Sassy wait staff, amazing wines and cheeses. The space is not as elegant as others in the area, but the food and feel of the place together makes this my fave restaurant to eat in the downtown area.

Offers price-fixe menus paired w/ the appropriate wine. Perfect Service. The entire meal was an experience.

Dined here a month or so ago the second time in two years and the experience only reconfirmed that IMHO this is the best restaurant in Seattle.

Bellevue?

Any suggestions for the Bellevue area?

We ate at Tosoni's a couple years ago and thought it had great food and service, although a bit crowded with dated decor. I've found mixed reviews on it on other sites. We would gladly go back if it hasn't changed, and would also appreciate any other ideas. Thanks

Kind of old, but if you join Egullet, you can do your own searches.

SeaStar in downtown Bellevue has always done well by me.

The Oceanaire. Half price oysters and shrimp cocktails (normally $15). Some drink specials. Try their Mojito or the Bloody Ceasar they are my favorites. Weekdays only of course.

If you visit Bainbridge. . .

one of my "new favorite" places - Cafe Nola. In Winslow. Excellent brunch! For summer definitely make reservations for the outside eating area. The French toast, crab melt, and service is excellent - great food, good service, and reasonably priced imo.

But, but, but... this is about SEATTLE, not some random island west of it! ;) :p

Seriously, I've never been to ldsant's suggestion, but I have heard about it from Islanders who I work with.

Anyone know if, when making reservations, whether you have to let them know up front that you are coming b/c of the 25 for $25?

If you're up north - (Ballard, Northgate, etc)Bicks Broadview Grill is awesome. I'll admit that I'm biased because I know the chef, but I've taken a few FTers there and they concurred!
