SKY Airlines to Chile
Anyone flown SKY Airlines to Chile. Please pass along your experience as we may be taking Sky in next few months and want to see what others experience was like.
Thanks

I am going to be flying them a bunch in the next few weeks. I will try to remember to report back. So far, prices are amazing (1/3 the cost of LAN). However, their website goes up/down all day long - so it doesn't instill confidence.

This was from a couple of years ago so maybe it no longer applies.
The one advantage of LAN is that their planes can operate in fog whereas Sky cannot (unless they have upgraded their planes).

Just saw this now, but thought I'd add.
I flew Sky in mid-2007. Perfectly decent flight, including a light snack for SCL-PMC, comparable to a similar range LX (Swiss) flight MAD-GVA. Plane was as 737-200 which I believe have all since been retired.

Sky operate exclusively A320 family aircraft now. The 737-200 are all retired.
I remember a newspaper ad boasting of best on time performance in Chile recently. And that would match my experience. On board I would say they are at least on par with LAN.
Have flown them regularly since 2012 until last year.

Our experiences flying domestically with Sky a few years ago was that despite the plane being older (732) the service level was leagues ahead of LAN's efficient but bare bones approach, despite much cheaper pricing. It may have changed by now, but they even served hot meals and free wine in coach on PMT-USH. I'd cheerfully fly them again.

Their prices seem insanely low, even with the LCC approach. LIM-SCL nonstop is $230 on Avianca, but $135 on Sky (with 23 kg checked baggage even included). SCL-MDZ is $250 on LATAM, $50 on Sky. Seems a little too good to be true, but I'll probably take the chance and go with them.
