Seriously, I have no idea. In case you missed it, my suggestion was not entirely serious

Say Yes or No - ONLY!
Here's a novel thought - say whether you think a moderator should be appointed or not - and leave it up to Randy to determine who if he decides one is necessary. THAT's the point of this thread - and leave it at that.
Drop all the who it should be, whether it should be partners or not, etc, & your subsequent votes & arguing back & forth (what, we didn't get enough of that in other threads on this forum? geesh) - it's RANDY's decision. The rest is irrelevent.

I'm sure Mr Petersen appreciates the feedback he gets from the ideas exchanged here. Otherwise, he could just use personal messages. This way he has the input of the people who will ultimately be affected by his decision.

A moderator for that forum was made some time ago and I got caught up in other things. Thanks for bumping the idea, it is very much appreciated and i agree that it does seem from time-to-time that it gets personal. I recently had the pleasure of meeting Spiff at the Freddies and I actually felt quite honored. It's quite fun for me to actually meet members of FlyerTalk that in the way they have handled themselves on FT have become worthy of the accolades of their other members. Positive accolades. But I don' think this a good forum to ask his additional support of FT for. If I recall, anotehr moderator quite some months ago volunteered and now I've got to try and remember who that might have been. techgirl? Anyway, let me look around and see what volunteers we might have. Their first purpose remains the same as any other volunteer - to assist members who need help in determining the proper forums to post in as well as try and safeguard the posting privileges and opinions of each member - with respect as such.
Again thanks for the heads up and let me get going on this.
