Well, todays already the day of the scheduled DL chat, and Randys FT chat is the day after tomorrow, so I'm guessing some comment is forthcoming - very soon!

Randy's been almost as responsive to the DL folks as he was in reporting on his meetings with LatinPass.

So much for Randy's claim to be acting as an advocate for frequent flyers.

This thread amazes me. Are we to assume that just because we post under the "Only Randy" thread that he is obligated to champion our cause? Or even respond if he chooses not to? I realize that several of Randy's employees have said that Randy has an interest in this DL thread and that he would like to see transcripts of an online chat, etc. Randy may look at this entire thread and decide he's got more important things to attend to in his business than become the champion of this cause. I'm guessing Randy WILL get around to answering some of the questions here, but don't be upset if he decides not to get too involved. He's not under any obligation to do so.

I just find the "Come on Randy, we are waiting!!!" attitude a bit assumptive...

Geo1004,

Assumptive (not a word in my dictionary, what does it mean?) I find it repulsive to pay for a subscription to a magazine that Randy is the publisher / editor of and has us believe that he is unbiased. All we ask for is if he is going to comment or give us advice. We asked him for nothing more, although we would like his help. If you have a problem with this, stop reading the thread! Do people have to get nasty to get a reply from Randy? Perhaps now I see why threads get nasty on this board!

I have yet to see any evidence to support that Randy is unbiased. There is also the option of cancelling your subscription if you feel repulsed.

True. You are asking. Just realize that you may ask and not receive. Randy may choose to remain silent on this matter. Perhaps he is waiting for his sources at DL to get back to him? Perhaps he knows of changes that are about to be announced and has chosen to wait? Who knows? That is his decision. My opinion is that Randy will respond to this thread. I, too, look forward to his response. I just don't demand it. I am in no position to do so, magazine subscriber or not.

If you have a problem with this, stop reading the thread!
I read this thread because I DO have an interest in the changes at DL. If you wish your communications with Randy to be private, he has posted his email address.

Do people have to get nasty to get a reply from Randy?

I have never known or heard this to be the case.

Please do not take my comments the wrong way. I am just as interested in the DL changes as many of you. But I am in agreement with Dorian's earlier comment in that I see Randy as the owner of this public forum. I don't, however, see where Randy has "promised" us any personal attention or consultation.

I find it hard to believe you read the entire thread! If you had been following the entire DL situation on the board, you would probably understand that Randy may in fact now be working for DL. While it is not right for us to try him in absentia, his silence has found him guilty. Do you work for Webflyer?

I have.

I have yet to see a single post where Randy says he is working for DL. I have, however, seen several speculations, all unfounded, that Randy works for DL. I do know that Randy said he was in Australia meeting with the Qantas and Ansett folks. Perhaps he works for Qantas? No, that would be speculation on my part.

Perhaps (speculation on my part) Randy is working for DL in some sort of consulting capacity. Maybe DL has asked Randy to find out just how ticked off DL's elites are with these program changes. Is that a good or bad thing?

I don't believe so. I've never commented on my innocence in the Kennedy assasinations, but that does not make me guilty.

Do you work for Webflyer?
No.

The reason I asked people to type .... is because about once a week or thereabout, someone not totally familiar with this saga chimes in with a "brilliant" piece of advice and or speculation.

BTW, in Randy's last chat (and the only time Randy has ever alluded to the DL problem), he made several statements which implied that he had some possible involvement with Delta.

Blah, Blah, Blah.

For now on, could everyone who is waiting for some kind of answer type ...

As a matter of fact, type .... evgery day that we receive no answer
