Since you are a DM, you should just call the MPO Centre, ask them to change the booking in CUPID for you. If the Tkt No is not getting through then just take note of it, on the day of travel just tell the ticket agent yout txt no.
Problem is that CX does not have RTW desk (as RTW products are not as popular in HKG compare to other cities) so many CSO does not know the rules.
Alternatively just ask the MPO centre CSO to make a reservation for you on AA and tell them u will provide the ticket no later.
Then call back for another agent and provide them with the ticket no.

"b) Origin TC2/3
Unlimited changes permitted without charge.
Date/Time/oneworld carrier changes are permitted without
reissue provided Origin/destination/connecting points and
inventory remain the same."
Am i reading this right? Can one change carriers without a fee i.e. on LHR-HKG change from BA to CX?

There was a minor disruption at the airport, as the new reservation didn't have the old ticket number on it. Once that was straightened out, all was fine - JL was able to lift the coupon that was issued for the CX flight without a problem, even though it had not been endorsed or reissued, and even though it was an e-ticket. Lesson: always have e-ticket numbers handy.
One issue I can see is that if the ticket is not re-issued or endorsed, you rely on the airport personnel knowing that they can lift the other carrier's coupon for that segment without endorsement, since it's allowed in the fare rules. I suppose there's always a chance that you get someone that doesn't know the rules and doesn't want to get in trouble, but this can probably be solved at the airport by escalating the matter to someone that does know, so it would not bother me to travel with an un-reissued xONEx ticket that had a change of carrier.

Well, in the past, all my OWE tickets were issued on paper tickets and it was only until recently that I had my first one issued on e-ticket.. And boy, what a nightmare it has been so far to get a date/flight change for a single segment... Not sure if it has been mentioned here before, but i did a quick search and didn't find anything...
Basically I have a OWE issued by CX, and I need to get a segment SFO-LAX moved forward by one day and to an daytime flight instead of afternoon flight. Before with paper tickets, all I had to do was get my agent change and input my paper ticket number into the record.. and it was all done. Now, with e-tickets, I've been told that the ticket has to be reissued since AA would not be able to capture the e-ticket number (because it is on CX stock), unless I reissue the ticket. Which means I have to pay whatever the fuel surchage difference is, any fare changes, as well as the reissue fee...
Is this really the case? Or is the agent giving me a runaround?

I saw your post in the Star forum.
I cannot add anything more to the advice given here except: Stay away from CX for ticket RTW ticket issue. USE The dedicated RTW desk in the USA. I was overcharged 900USD by CX JNB on a AONE 4, I refunded the CX ticket and had AA USA RTW desk build the itinerary then had AA office in CPT issue it.
I call the AA desk in the USA from wherever I am to make itinerary changes, even if I am in Hong Kong! They know the rules, and are a great team. I have purchased 3 additional AONE4 tickets from AA.

You were lucky that you weren't going the other direction (JL to CX). If CX doesn't get a ticket number within a certain time of the reservation, it will just cancel it. You have to "manually" make sure CX gets the ticket number for the new reservation. This has been discussed in this forum previously.
