Oneworld members boost key Asian routes
Finnair and Cathay Pacific are improving services on several key Asian routes. The Helsinki-based carrier is adding a new route to Delhi on October 30 and will double the number of flights to Tokyo (from two to four a week) at the beginning of December. Both services will have good connections from other airports in mainland Europe, Scandinavia and the UK...
Tokyo Narita will be served by an Airbus A340-300 every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday from Helsinki from December with flights returning the next day. Finnair's new flights are those operating on Thursday and Sunday out plus Monday and Friday back...
In Asia, Cathay Pacific hopes to launch a single daily flight on the important Hong Kong to Shanghai route on December 1...

TG would probably be the only reasonable choice in the air.
Though there are some short connections to India and the new carriers seem ot be doing something right.....

Oneworld out of BOM however, is still quite weak, with the best connections being offered only by BA. Cathay and Qantas also fly, true, but with limited number of times a week, and at odd hours / routes / aircraft / connections.
Why does DEL get AA, EY in addition and now JAL and Malev as well. (Hint of jealousy
)
I've posted this earlier, but I'm really, really crossing my fingers for 9W to join OW...!!!

Actually, reading the Wikipedia article caused me to conclude that Lhasa would have been an interesting stop 15 or 20 years ago. I still have Lukla and Namche to check off, and with Nepal seemingly cooling off politically I'll just see if I can make that happen.
