I'm confused by your comment. I have been paying EGP35400 for AONE3s ever since I started buying them there about 3 years ago.

Maybe the HK$ to EGP has not fallen as much as the US$ to EGP. My last AONE4 was about 30,000 EGP in early 2004 so it seems a bit of a shock to me.

Aging. Brain slow. Does this mean HKG-JNB-xLHR-NBO-LHR is now legal? Major mileage bonus if so.

Sorry, forgot to paste the final line -_-

So it looks like JNB-xLHR-NBO-LHR isn't allowed, just something like LHR-NBO-xLHR-JFK

Until mid/late January 2004, the base fare for an AONE4 ex-CAI was 29203 EGP. There was a price increase in mid/late January 2004.

You must have purchased your tickets after this date (or you have been overpaying ).

That language has always confused me - dangling modifiers or whatever. "Another continent" = other than Europe or other than Africa? But I expect you're right, meaning NBO is indeed still a dead end, like DAR and MRU. Still, it allows Europe-Africa-Americas, rather than forcing Europe-Africa-Asia/SWP-Americas.

Yes....

AONE3 remains unchanged. However, AONE4 has increased by 34.5%, AONE5 has increased by 36.1% and AONE6 has increased by 42.7%. Except for an AONE3, it is now cheaper to buy an AONEx in North America (after factoring in the cost of travelling to/from CAI). Ouch!!!

DONE3 remains unchanged. However, DONE4 has increased by 15.7%, DONE5 has increased by 21.4% and DONE6 has increased by 31%.

Hasn't this rule changed again too? I am sure a change was made last year that disallowed travel from MEL in the list of cities in line 139?

Thumbs up Excellent work!

Many thanks kanebear! :-: Excellent work.

I'll update the spreadsheet later today. Unfortunately I don't have time right now, but I'll get it on as soon as I get home. It shouldn't take long to get the update done.

PS: kanebear, you don't happen to have the Star Alliance equivalent handy by any chance, do you?

The updated version of my RTW fare spreadsheet is now available for download.

Many thanks again to kanebear! ^

The bad news for Egypt, as noted above, is that it is no longer an interesting origin for AONEx trips. For DONEx it's still not too bad. Other price hikes affect Japan, Indonesia and North America.
