Narita has curfew so I'm not sure if the airport will allows you to remain in air side between 11pm to 5am or now. What you could do is book a hotel near ueno station, so that you can take narita express or skyliner. Then you can enjoy a short night trip in Tokyo.

Thank you for your advice. Were planning to visit the JP lounges after we arrive at Narita airport 4:30 pm and will leave for Tokyo at 7pm. Do you see any problem with that plan? Also, we will be the newbies In Tokyo. Any additional advice from you on hotel name , tip on train and where to go would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again.

with the through boarding pass, youll get past the transit security to get to departure zone, then get stuck there. (Unless you have a hawkeye transit agent that notices your departure is next day, where theyll then request you to go to immigration instead)

If budget not issue, then you can find some 4 to 5 star hotel around Tokyo Station. You can access to/from Airport using Narita Express. If there is a budget, then you can use Skyliner to Ueno station, and normally APA chain hotel will do a good job.
At these two stations, you can just simply take Yamanote Line (the green train line) to go to various spot, like nightlife activities hotspot shibuya, shinjuku (or ginza just right beside tokyo station). Since your flight is morning flight, and it is your first Japan transit, so I would not recommend to stay in hotel that require you to take a train to either Tokyo/Ueno station before go to Narita Airport. The morning commute in Japan is far worse than HELL.

My tip would be to forget about Tokyo (it's a huge city and it's 80 minutes away on the fastest train!) and take one of the frequent Keisei line trains to Narita City instead. It's only a ten-minute ride away, there are plenty of hotels right at the station and they're inexpensive but clean and nice.
Narita is and feels like a small city, and on arrival, you will have time to walk along the Omote-sando shopping street, reach the huge temple area and look around. There are plenty of restaurants on Omote-sando and by the station. Genuinely Japanese.
Makes a nice one-night trip + you can sleep longer the next morning as you'll be close to the airport.

I will be departing through NRT next month, and have a few questions. I will be on CX527 STD 14:45, travelling with another friend, me holding CX Gold.
1) I understand that CX counters open from 06:55-10:00 and 11:45-17:50, will I be able to check-in for my flight during the period of 06:55-10:00, or must I wait until 11:45?
2) Is fast track security/immigration available for Sapphire? And only for myself, or can I bring my companion to use it as well?
3) Is it possible to lounge hop between lounges in the main T2 building and the T2 Satellite, or cannot return to main building from Satellite like ICN T1 and T1 Satellite?

Sozee, I believe you should be able to check in for your 14:45 flight during the first opening period, since they allow online check in up to 48 hours prior to departure, as long as you're not checking in bags.
For bag drop, per https://www.cathaypacific.com/cx/en_...l-airport.html

Note: Please note that passengers are able to print their own baggage tags at the Self Check-in Kiosk, available between three hours and 50 minutes before the scheduled time of departure of their flight.
