DONE3 question.
Hi,
Maybe I'm blind, but oneworld website used to have a "fare estimates" area where you could look up how much you are going to spend on the ticket?
I can't find it anymore, but am interested which place in Europe is the cheapest to start a DONE3 and how much would it cost?

The base fare prices were removed from the site around the start of the year. Only way to get a quote via the oneworld site now is to plot out a trip and start the booking process. The first step will give a quote.
It is believed the price quotes were removed as they were only base prices and didn't inculde taxes. There were some tools available which allowed you to compare base prices, but as they drew the data from the oneworld site which no longer has the data, the tools no longer work.
You can get base prices through expert flyer and other sites like it, though they will only list one starting country at a time.
The cheapest base prices in "Europe" are in the middle east.

I am using KVS to look up the fares, but it is cumbersome.
I went thru the experience myself a few weeks ago and found good prices from some Arab/African countries, especially from Sudan (not sure if i really want to start there), but Kenya and Tanzania looked good. You waste another continent and (depending on where you start) cannot go via europe twice.

A couple of other places, e.g. Saudi Arabia and Sudan, might be cheaper, but offer their own inconveniences and barriers (access, visas, etc.) that might make them less attractive.

Based on Expert Flyer - www.expertflyer.com - you could look at Egypt, Jordan and Israel, all around the US$6200 mark for a DONE3. If you want to conserve Europe segments, the most advantageous of those 3 would be AMM, since RJ have intercontinental flights direct to Asia and North America, removing the need for an intermediate connection in Europe.

1 ticket used emeco in cairo. other AA RTW US but with canadian exception.

Sorry for the questions.
Am I reading it correctly that if I book a AONE4 starting in AMM, but book it through the AA RTW desk I'll have to pay the US AONE4 fare?

If you pay for it in the US then yes you will pay the US origination price. If you do the booking through the AA rtw desk and arrange with them to pay for it in Jordan or Canada then you pay the ex-AMM price.

So if I call and set everything up with the AA RTW desk, how do I arrange to pay for it in Jordan? Is it just a case of asking them to quote it in Jordanian Dinar?
