I don't get any of their emails, aside from trip confirmations and check in notices. I've cleared their domain as a friend, checked all my anti-spam and firewall settings, but nada. I've sent messages to TTU, but just get basic FAQ text back.

Not to threadjack, but does it come from a [email protected] domain?

complaining OR comparing ?

Also, note the first two words of the e-mail from Jim.... While not everyone may be happy with the thresholds to obtain the SWU's, hey... they listened and have made changes to the program. It's a positive step in the right direction.

I'm Happy!!!!!

They kept segment qualification:

WorldPerks Elite Status
The 2007 Elite program runs from March 1, 2007 through February 29, 2008. To achieve or retain your Elite status for the 2008 program year and upgrade your membership during 2007, simply earn the required number of Elite Qualifying Miles or Elite Qualifying Segments listed below between January 1 and December 31, 2007.

Elite Status

Elite Qualifying Miles Elite Qualifying Segments

Platinum Elite 75,000 100

Gold Elite 50,000 60

Silver Elite 25,000 30

If, before year end, you earn either the number of miles or the number of segments for Elite membership, we'll upgrade your status one business day after the qualifying flight is posted to your account. We'll then mail your new credentials within four weeks of the status upgrade.

I could be wrong, but isn't it a System-wide Upgrade.?

Elite ExtraPerks = Platinum Points for the masses!^

Good move by NW to make these rewards available because of the amount of flying you do rather than fares you buy!^

Same thoughts!

Beat me to it on the post. I was thinking how cool it would be to use the SWU on the 1st run of 787 next year. (Eventhough CO is the "Major carrier in N. America" w/ the 787 on-order). Did anyone else see this wordage in the CO fleet listing at the back of CO's in-flight mag?

I agree. 180k EQM this year, but only 700 Platinum Points. And the 180k EQM was almost exclusively full fare coach tickets to Europe and back (which were then upgraded with miles).

All in all, I am satisfied with the ExtraPerks program and offerings. Much more open to everyone that the old PP promotion.

How many rewards

Just returned from a 3 hour long flight, so my head is not clear. :o

Say I'm going to fly 100K EQMs this year. Do I get to choose 1 reward from the 60K level and 1 from the 90k level or I just get the 90k level?

Wingtipflyer1 Jan 25, 2007 8:00 am

Nice for married couples

I thought that also, but it will be a nice way to keep Mrs. WT Silver as her flying has decreased some lately. Also, she prefers to take direct flights as I will connect 500 times if possible! In my case, being Plat. it will be moot on the upgrade situation for her when flying w/ me. It is a nice little extra when she takes biz trips 4 times a year.

Again, thanks & nice job NW. (My guess someone in Egan is reading this;) ).

Please add power ports on your A319, A320 & 757's!!!! You will then have even more of by biz!! It is one of the best things on AA as you can run the lap top your entire flight & watch movies- IFE is low on my list.

It states "Once you have registered for the Elite ExtraPerks promotion, you will receive e-mail notifications whenever you reach a new threshold level..." so I would take this to mean that when you hit 60k you choose 1, and then choose again as you attain successive tiers.

You're right, it is System-Wide Upgrade.

The issue of rewarding continued pax loyalty (above Plat Status) has been discussed

The last 3 trips to Eagan to meet with Worldperks and NW management Execs both TheZipper and I discussed extensively the need to reward with something tangible, the high EQM elite pax. NW has listened and I am very pleased with the direction that the WP program has taken. The icing on the cake is that this was done during the BK.

Thank you Worldperks!
