It usually means class-of-service-flown/class-of-service-paid. You flew "Y", but paid for "V".
...unless you actually paid for "Y", in which case you should be eligible for the Y-class points.

Sorry, I did mean DTW.
THis is so frustrating for me since the rules say BOOKED not paid but yes they say they are the final judges so I'll have to content myself with 15 pts
but since they don't count towards elite status I can accept it...
I am so excited that I'll finally get silver elite this year; I'm still planning to see if it would be possible to get to gold or save the trips til next year to maintain the silver or try for gold.
The bonus miles you earn do count towards gold right?
Sorry for the noobie questions, I'll search harder for all my other ones.
Great forums!

I have a question then, what if I have traveled with a CO ticket, but on NW Metal? Will this get Dash points? I recently did this, BUF-DTW-IAH-GRK (1 of 3 NW meal), and AUS-DTW-BUF (both NW metal) on the return, but a CO ticket. I have not received any points, should I ask?
I also am nowhere near the top for the Dash, but 1-2K bonus miles would be nice!

For the record, here are the rules they quote: "For this promotion, qualifying travel (roundtrip or one-way) must be on a paid, published fare ticket on Northwest-operated flights 1-1999, Northwest codeshare flights 8200-8849 operated by KLM Royal Dutch Airlines or Northwest Airlink flights 2700-2799 and 3000-3699 operated by Mesaba or 2800-2999, 3700-3999, 4700-4799 and 5600-5999 operated by Pinnacle Airlines."

After the contest ends (June 1), I'll be happy to post my statistical analysis of the last month or so of the contest. Just in case you're wondering if W. Whitaker gets an average of 66.7 points per week since 4/23, while E. Tan (#1 silver), gets 80 points, every week, no hotel stays (posted anyways) or any other activity, just one Q fare each way + 2 olci's.
Its pretty much neck and neck where I'm sitting, and I don't like it. I'm really hoping that one of the other two guys up there will PM me so we can work out a "lets not kill ourselves flying on memorial day" truce =)

Same happened to me on a flight to Maui. Took NW from MSP to HNL then Hawaiin from HNL to OGG and didn't get any NW credit for the promo.

I have read the rules but don't understand how a leg of my flight can have 2 booking classes:
On a flight reserved 8 months in advance:
CDG-DTW on NW booking class Y/V was entered into the dash credits as "V" (15 pts instead of 50). This hardly seems fair to me siince the rules state 'booking' class not 'paid' class.
Should I pursue this further (already refused by email once)?

I booked a RT ticket CDG-DTW-GRR
They posted as:
Q/Q DTW-CDG
Q/Q GRR-DTW
V/V DTW-GRR
Y/V CDG-DTW
Obviously I am new to this and did not look at fare codes before I bought. It was only in reading the rules that I saw that they specified "class booked" and according to their notes (I was innocent before); they indicated Y not V.
Thanks for any help.
