Are you saying that YOU actually booked a "Y" class ticket? Did you take a bump (the reaccommodation is booked "Y", but it is booked by NW, not the customer.) It is difficult to respond without knowing more.
I'm going to have to guess that the poster booked a V fare ticket, and the system some represented that he sat in Y (coach...).
