Cars at LGA

In my opinion, best days for pick ups at this location are thursday and sunday evenings. Everytime i have been here on a mon, tues and wed. It has been pretty bare. Last thursday (6/13/13) es lot was filed with cars. saw 2 mustang soft tops, 1 chevy camaro, and just about one of every car and suv tupical for National. Premium spaces had several volvos (xc60 and i think xc70?) 1 bmw x5, 2 or 3 infiniti's and a camaro (brand new).

Morning of 6/29:

ES was about 1/2 full:
3 Malibu LTZ, 1 '14 Impala, 2 Taurus Limited, 1 Genesis, 2 Maxima, 1 Escape SEL, 1 Legacy, 1 Challenger, 4 Altima S, 2 Kia Optima, 1 Accord

EA was very bare:
1 Sonata Hybrid, 2 Optima, 1 Camry, 2 Avengers.

Luxury:
6(!) mustang convertibles, 1 S60, 1 Challenger

I took a Fusion SE with Luxury Pkg and 2L Ecoboost from the return stack. I thought it was a titanium at first because of the 18" wheels and dual exhausts. Nevertheless, the ride was very good, it's quiet, has a powerful engine, and looks great! I do find it strange that National buys the Luxury Pkg and 2L engine upgrades but not the tech package with MyFord Touch and the backup camera.

Has anyone else noted that rental rates from manhattan locations have spiked recently? I am seeing rather rediculous rates for weekend and weeklong rentals!

It always spikes during the summer, lots of people want to get out of the city during weekends to the hamptons, poconos, etc.

Friday 8/16 evening:
ES had lots of premiums: 4 '14 Impala 2LT's, 3 Avalons, 4 Taurus Limited, 3 Maxima, a Genesis, and the usual FCARS

Compact section had a 500 and a base Mini Cooper

I took a '14 Impala 2LT with Convenience, Advanced Safety, and Premium Seating packages in "$RED". The "$RED" paint (Crystal Red Tintcoat) really shines in sunlight.

Is it actually called "$RED"? Because that would be awesome.

Sorry, had to ask.

Yes, the color on the barcode sticker says $RED. I guess it's because the paint is a $395 option.

EA and ES very SUV and minivan heavy. A few Altimas and Challengers for good measure. I grabbed what I thought was a Grand Cherokee, but as I was on a conference call and not paying attention, I ended up in a Compass.

What a terrible car. Anemic engine, barge-like handling, and horrid fit and finish. It's no wonder all of these crapboxes end up in rental fleets.

That's like thinking you're going home with a 9 and waking up when the alcohol wears off and recognizing you're with a 3.

Pretty much. Merging onto the GCP with all 47hp blazing was not particularly fun. Gas mileage sucked, too (21mpg in 350 miles of highway driving).

You may have been to distracted to safely drive if you couldn't tell it wasn't a Grand Cherokee after you got into that plush Tonka like interior.. Lol

Lot was pretty empty. ES had Avalon, Tahoe, Captiva, Malibu (2), Altima (2)
EA had 3 old body style impalas.

Sun 9/29 at 5PM

ES: Maxima, Avalon, Tahoe, Taurus, Challenger, '14 Implala and the usual FCAR's.

EA: Jetta Sportwagen the only standout.

Thanks for the update xienon.

I'll be picking up on Thursday, how's the staff here and what are my chances of getting an upgrade on my Full Size SUV reservation being it seems the Tahoe has been on the ES.

I don't technically need a Full Size SUV...what are some of the vehicles that stand out that this location typically stocks?
