Did you happen to see any Luxury SUV's in the lot? I've got a month long rental in December and suspect they'll give me a QX80.

Anyone have any intel on the cars that have been in ES lately? I have a weekend rental later this month. Will be my first IAD rental and first rental with National since getting Executive Elite. Would love an Audi but wouldn't be disappointed with a Jeep

Update following my rental:

A limited selection for the weekend of 4/23. Here is what was in the ES:
4x Chevy Equinox (3 LT trim, 1 AWD LT)
1 pickup (I think it was an F150 but didn't look)
2 Mustang convertibles, (1 lime green, 1 white)

Ended up taking the white mustang which was fun for the weekend

anyone been to IAD lately? normally I always fly into dulles because of the larger selection of vehicles but last summer at the height of covid, pickings were very slim. obviously things have changed since then covid-wise but curious if they've re-stocked their lot?

Picked up late on a Wednesday night - it was slim pickings, only two cars in the EA/ES lot.. a ram 1500 truck and a volvo sedan (that I picked up)... the volvo was a great car but really cramped, didn't truly feel like a FCAR..

There were a bunch of SUVs in the reserved lot, some expeditions, tahoes, yukons, sorentos, cherokees, exquinoxes... I asked for something larger, even a 5 seater suv, but was denied even though I had a two day reservation and would return before the weekend...

thanks for checking extra_id! Sounds pretty awful, unbelievable really. Hopefully they'll start re-stocking soon. I remember days there when the lot was so flush with great inventory it took me 20 minutes to decide what to take. thanks again!

I had to take a quick trip to the Eastern Shore this weekend so I thought I'd check out the pickins at IAD. I reserved a full-size SUV and was given a 2021 Tahoe. There was another 2020 Tahoe and two Expedition Max parked near the office but with no keys in any of the large SUVs. Below is what I saw parked in the EA/ES aisles.

Sat 6/26 8pm (about a dozen cars total):
Colorado
RAV4
Challenger
CX30
Camry
Kona
Sportage
Compass
Malibu
Murano
Rogue

Sun 6/27 7pm (aisles were full):
Wrangler
Explorer
Equinox
Compass
4Runner
RAV4
Grand Cherokee Trailhawk
Outlander
Camry
Rogue
Mustang convertible
RAM
Tacoma
Challenger
Malibu
Rogue
Mazda 3
Sportage
Elantra
Trax
Encore

Premier Upgrade:
XT5
xienon, joepa26, m907 and 2 others like this.

Monday 11/8, 5 PM. Both aisles were full.

Executive had a wide variety of car sizes, but very Nissan heavy. Standouts were a BMW 330i (that someone was already in) and Volvo sedan (that someone was already in).

I took a 2021 Nissan Rogue AWD, but the infotainment screen keeps rebooting even with my phone disconnected, so I'm probably going to take it back tomorrow.

Took the Rogue back in around 3 PM today (11/9) and swapped it out for another one, which thankfully doesn't have the reboot issue.

Aisles were a little less stocked than last night, but still a decent selection. Executive had more Jeeps than last time, and a Toyota Highlander XLE which I almost took instead of the Rogue. No luxury brands in sight though.

Regular aisle had a lot of sedans, and what looked like a Nissan leaf.

Premier Selection was 2x Audi SUVs, as well as an A5.

New Year’s Day 2022. The entire lot was packed full of everything. Lots of choices. Haven’t seen a lot this full in a while. Most interesting vehicle was a Ram 2500 with the 6.4L engine. I’m really confused by this as the terms of contract don’t let you pull a trailer, but why else would someone need a 2500 rather than a 1500? National, why did you buy this truck? Is there really that much of a demand for a 3/4 ton truck that isn’t going to be hauling?
