Don't forget applicable taxes and USD 25 per transaction processing fee!

Official Frequent Flyer Guidebook (OFFG 8th Edition is currently being printed): USD 14,95 (+ shipping)
InsideFlyer (IF, 12 issues): USD 45,--
IF Internet subscription (one year): USD 12,--
Frequent Flyer Package (OFFG & 12 issues of IF): USD 59,95 (if you opt for bonus miles, this offer is non-refundable, without the bonus miles you have the ability to cancel your subscription at any time if the content does not meet your reading expectations.)
So if you are an AA Elite member and buy a non refundable Frequent Flyer Package for USD 59,95, you receive reading material and you earn - as an added bonus - 2.000 AA miles. If you purchase 2.000 AA miles you have to pay USD 55,-- + USD 25,-- transaction processing fee + taxes.

I'm sorry-- I should clarify. I was basing my calculations on buying 24,000 points from AA.COM (Points.com) vs. purchasing 12 subscriptions for 24,000 miles. Points.com would charge $670 including the excise tax and the $25 fee while the subscriptions would cost $720.

The standard mileage bonus seems to be 1000 miles or points per subscription.

I don't have the link for the 2000 AA miles, as I'm not elite with AA.
Oh, for the days of the 2,500 Starpoints!

The 3,000 miles available on several carriers weren't bad, either.

Looks like all the previously announced offers are indeed expired. Don't know if Randy has anything up his sleeve? These promos are costly to him, of course, and I recall he recently said he was still paying off all of our Concorde trips...

Or in my case, QF stash, which I just renewed for three more years with a 2,500 point Starwood transfer.

Yep, just got those Starwood points you all took me for paid off. Something up my sleeve? I'll be smarter this time. I thought we were all friends.... In the publishing biz you purposely lose money for the first year of a rich offer with the hope that you'll get your renewals. Well, most of you were in it for the miles and points - can't blame you but I'll come up with something... we're thinking of reviving the "12 Days of Christmas" mileage giveaways, so don't worry, someone will be thinking of you. As for the Starwood promo, i'm thinking that when all the liability was cleared and the points paid for, you guys and gals cost me just north of $100,000. But don't worry, I'm still your friend.
As for bonus miles - remember to attend some of the online chats with program executives, often there are easy ways to earn 25,000 or more bonus miles for an hour of your time.
