Status match in Finland?

Hi!

I am currently EB Gold (SAS) and would like a nice status match to any oneworld-company. Finnair would of course be convenient as I am based in Finland and travelling to Asia quite a lot (but only in economy ), but I´ve understood that they are rather hard to give out status matchers? Would the Malev-promotion help me, as I never fly with them...?

Hello,

In which loyalty programs can I apply for a status match.
I have the Frequent Traveller (silver) in Miles And More.
Preferably without the necessity of a flight.

Many thanks in advance.

Air NZ matched my Qantas gold status and contrary to what I had read before, I got two NZ/*A complimentary upgrades to boot

AA to Delta

Has anyone had luck getting Delta to do a match from AA Platinum? I've faxed over a letter twice with no luck.

Thanks for the tip!

AS matched my THAI Gold overnight to MVP Gold with just a short email and a photo of my membership card.

OW Status

Hi,

I have BD Gold, M&M Gold and FB Gold. Is there any of matching to an OW equivalent?

I have UK and Swiss residency, if it helps.

I am currently Platinum with both Delta and Continental. Delta will stay Platinum for 2011, but CO will fall to Silver.

I am hoping for a status match now that will match top-level elite as I have 25,000 Star Alliance Y miles booked for Feb-Mar 2011. (Which I would like *Gold)

I fly out of ICN. I redeem on only J-Class Inter-asia tickets (meaning AC, UA, and CO are 30,000 RT, thats why I dont go with OZ)

Perferrably I would like a AC status match, but I dont think they match.

DL to CO Match question

I recently earned DL Silver and am thinking about matching to CO silver elite (and, by extension, Star Alliance Silver). Question is: I have a roundtrip award fare on TAM booked using United miles (a Saver Award) from JFK-GIG around New Years time - if I am Star Alliance Silver through CO, is there any chance I could get upgraded on the TAM mileage flights? If not, I may match anyway because I'm ready to ditch DL, but this would provide some extra incentive to burn the once-in-a-lifetime match.

United Exec Premier - will be looking for Platinum on AA

I am close to getting the UA Exec Premier and plan to try for the AA platinum next year. I have read that they will charge me to get into the challenge program.

Delta to Continental

If I do a continental match now will I still get at the benefits through 2011? Can Continental members get the wider seats with more legroom when flying on United too?

Is that a question?
Statement of fact?

Whatever it is, you are correct. AA RARELY matches. So both Exec Premier and Kettles will pay to do a challenge.

Read about it over on the sticky on the AA corner of FT/

Yes and Yes. However, UA seats are not wider, they merely have 4"-6" more legroom.
