How Long Does UA Take to Respond?
Currently a US elite, I requested from UA a status challenge earlier in the week. I've not received any reply to my email. I've read on this forum of people receiving a reply the same day. Anyone have a sense of the usual time frame for response to these requests?

It took about 2 weeks for my SO and myself to receive a response. Interestingly their e-mail arrived on a Sunday night US time. We had nearly given up on them.

Thank you for your email,
Unfortunately we do not offer status match with other Star Alliance carriers, if you hold status with a none Star carrier we can match against this.
Best regards

It took a full 7 days for UA to comp me back, and that's what they told me to expect when I first called Mileage Plus to get details.

I'm sure Joanna would appreciate it if you removed the e-mail address so that spam bots do not get ahold of it when trolling the site...

My company eliminated UAL as a preferred carrier and instructed us to use Midwest or NWA/Delta. I called NWA and they had me mail (not email but mail) their rep confirmation of my United status, 1K, and requested a status match. Anybody else have any experience with this one? Also, what is the status match at NWA for a 1K?
Thanks

I sent an email to UA (email address provided on first page of this thread) with an attachment of my elite status card and within 6 hours received a comp to Premier Executive.

Using AA PLT challenge for NW Gold
Mentioned previously that i was denied a match from an AA challenge completed right at the end of the year (thus showing low EQM), along with documentation of near-Gold EQM on another airline, to NW Gold.
Unsolicited, I received a further explanation of why they would not accept the match:
Seems fair enough but is a subtle difference from experiences reported earlier here.

Elite status matches are not granted based on the sum of elite
qualifying mileage with various carriers, but rather on the status and
elite qualifying mileage earned with one airline.

I was only offered Gold by CO - wonder why??
I'm considering to tell them to take it back - not necessary unless I get the full status...
