I opened my TDW account 2/7/04 with a sufficient balance, and have yet to receive my 25,000 points. I haven't started chasing them yet, but I hope they come thru soon.
Has anyone received their 25,000 TDW/AA points? How long did it take?

They claimed they had no record that my opening of the account was in any way tied into the promotion. Fortunately, I had kept a copy of the on-line application opening the account, which clearly showed the link to the AA promotion, so I sent them a copy.
After a bit of back-and-forth communications, the miles were deposited. They came in two tranches, the first for 10,000 miles and the second, about 10 weeks later, for the remaining 15,000.

Ameritrade posted Starwood point relatively quick.
I opened 2 Ameritrade accounts, one for me & one for the Mrs. = max pts/dollar that way, and the first half of the points posted a week after the money was deposited. Six months later, the second half of the points posted, but this time I had to wait 3 weeks for the points to post (i.e. total 6 mo 3 wks from deposit for all points to hit both accts).
I'm now considering opening a joint account to collect some more *wood points. On the downside - I chose to invest in Healthcare stocks and am down about 5% on my portfolio. I was going to do this anyway, so the points were just a bonus.
For the risk averse, I believe Ameritrade has a mone market acct paying some submicron interest.

Several times my documentation has made the difference between receiving and not receiving the miles.

FWIW, I find it useful to "print" a PDF directly from a webpage showing a miles offer. The PDF will contain an exact likeness of the printer output (with browser time stamp, etc.), but can be used for electronic communications with a customer service agent. It's helpful to attach this kind of thing to every e-mail correspondence, as the PDF files are usually relatively small.
I use the freeware pdf995 package (available at www.pdf995.com).
(P.S. I'm not hawking this thing - I just use the software myself. At $0, the price is right, esp. compared to Acrobat at $300 or whatever.)
