I opened 2 Ameritrade accounts, one for me & one for the Mrs. = max pts/dollar that way, and the first half of the points posted a week after the money was deposited. Six months later, the second half of the points posted, but this time I had to wait 3 weeks for the points to post (i.e. total 6 mo 3 wks from deposit for all points to hit both accts).

I'm now considering opening a joint account to collect some more *wood points. On the downside - I chose to invest in Healthcare stocks and am down about 5% on my portfolio. I was going to do this anyway, so the points were just a bonus.

For the risk averse, I believe Ameritrade has a mone market acct paying some submicron interest.
