Are you willing to donate or barter FF miles?

I have need for at least 35,000 miles for R/T to visit my ill 87 year old mother. I visit twice a year but it is getting costly with high airfare these days. Does anyone have any FF miles to donate or barter on American Airlines?
I try to signup for all free miles promos to accummulate FF miles to travel whenever I can go.

If you don't mind me asking from where to where would you need a ticket?

I had one of those zone to zone coupons that you could have had but it is only good for contiguous 48. Hopefully someone else will step up to the plate. Good luck.

Even though this is not my first post, I need to visit my 97 year old mother and she lives in Cancun in February.

Call me a sucker but in my life I have found that whilst you get burned once in a while you are better off and have a much richer and more interesting life giving people the benefit of the doubt and not make negative assumptions.

It'd be a little more believable if she was in Fargo and your trip was in January.

Weird...I just assumed it was a joke! Is this a joke? I think I would have said Bali.

I may be a skeptic, but when someone doesn't list an email address, when this is only their second post, and they are wanting something rather than sharing information, I get REAL suspicious!

No, this is not a joke. I spoke with one of the spokespersons for this website and she had suggested that I post my request here on the bulletin board. My mother has cancer and is not doing well after radiation treatments. Laugh you may but this was a sincere request. Thanks anyway. I know there are some charitable people in this world somewhere.

That is just way too melodramatic. FT'ers are some of the most generous people I have never met...more generous that people I consider 'friends' in my 'offline' life.

You have to look at this from our point of view...1st post, no email address, warm climate....what would YOU think!!!???

If you had been someone who we "knew" it would have been instantaneous...and likely overwhelming. If your friend is a regular here...have them come forward in the thread and let us know. Unfortunately on the Internet you have to be suspicious of everyone.

I believe (yet do not know) that my opinion would match manner others on this board regarding this thread.

How many miles do you have now? That would help people give you advice on how to get enough for the trip.
