My 11/24 purchase hasn't posted yet, other than the 2000 bonus for the spend (missing 15,000 points for 250.16 x 60). I sent an email to the AA shopping portal last week and received the standard "we will look into it" response, but nothing further (obviously, a mere Platinum doesn't carry any weight on this affiliate). Yesterday, I emailed magazines.com and today received the following (below) but with no specifics as to the ## of miles which is a concern as some of you are reporting that you aren't getting full credit for all magazines ordered. Also, this is different from the message that WhiMike received saying that the correct amount was sent to AAdvantage and that he should receive full credit.

"Thank you for contacting Magazines.com regarding your AAdvantage credits.
Good news! Our records indicate that your order was successfully placed through the appropriate Linkshare. This means that your work is done - simply look forward to your AAdvantage credits, which will be awarded within 6-8 weeks of your order.
If your rewards have not been delivered by the affiliate company within that time frame, please contact Magazines.com and we will contact the affiliate company regarding your missing rewards."

Interesting: when I go to my account, no transactions show. When I click "Refresh"--they show. They literally keep disappearing! Clearly an IT issue.

Interesting. After reading this I logged into my account and saw nothing there (as has been the case) - I clicked "refresh" and the transaction appears. I think I'll take a screen shot, in case anything goes wrong . . .

Well, that refresh trick worked for me too. Although it looks like they are not counting my $59 Entertainment Weekly (don't judge :)) subscription. Hopefully it'll post later.

It may post later. One of my orders has only posted 1 of 3 magazines. I contacted AA/the shopping portal co. (Cartera?) and they said the magazines qualify and should post soon.

Mine still haven't posted from purchase on 11/24 and 11/26...this is 4 orders in a row that haven't posted for me.

Mine have posted on my AA Shopping Account. Purchased on 11/26 on one transaction.

Now admittedly I only purchased 2 subscriptions, both going to my home address.

My single order of 4 Magazines that was placed on 11/29 shows all the miles except that of "Time". I read elsewhere that It shouldn't count. if that's the case, I'd rather cancel it. Did anyone here receive the miles for the "Time" specifically?
Thank you!

So I asked for a refund of the gift card and had no reply. I wrote again and asked if I needed to do a chargeback to get their attention. They replied today that they made a mistake and gift cards will count and look for it to post in 6-8 weeks. I replied thanks I will will be watching, I will also be watching to 60 day credit card clock!! Worth fighting for the 15000 miles~

My miles for time did not post either. I spoke to magazines.com and their customer service was excellent. They told me it was a reporting error in their part and once a week they communicate an error list and my problem with time magazine would be reported to Cartera. They said that this was absolutely eligible.

My experience...
I have dealt with Cartera through AA and UA websites for quite a while.
Just when I was going to cut them some slack and say their abysmal customer service had improved, they proved me wrong.
I couldnt pass up the 60 mpd magazine deal, so I ordered 20 bucks worth of domestic mags.
Failed to post within a week (my experience with 100s of transactions is that if it doesnt post within 7-10 days, then prepare for the headache of cartera customer service), so I began the inquiry.
Magazines.com responded within 2 days with the generic "good news-your transaction looks in order and will post within 6-8 weeks"
Cartera responded after about 7 or 8 days with "magazines.com has reversed your transaction" and included the para that others have cited about disallowed items.
Followup with mag.com (again 2 day response) agent stated "we have not reversed any transaction and your order is all in order."
A Cartera agent winging it on the assumption the average correspondent will take their response at face value? A calculated strategy, knowing that many vendors have feeble customer response as well and will not research the transaction? Who knows?

Just to follow up has anyone gotten Time Magazine credited?

Magazines.com says it is eligible. Cartera claims it is a journal. I quoted Cartera the actual description off magazines.com that it is in fact a magazine.

Does Cartera just make up reasons to deny miles?

My miles posted today. Got 60X credit for The Economist ($127), but 0X for Fish Farmer Monthly :P Don't look at me that way, the price ended up rounding up to the amount I wanted. I've contacted them to ask why they hate fish farmers, will report back. Obviously I'll cancel it immediately if it doesn't work out.

Here is what I asked cartera and their response:

I placed and order thru aadvantage portal of $112.90. Mu subscription included "time" as well 3 others. The miles for three others subscriptions have appeared on the account, but not these for Time. Could you please look into this case and credit the miles for the $30 Time magazine subscription? At the time the miles/$ rate was 60 miles/$ and the time subscription was $30. So I'm missing 1,800 miles. Thank you very much in advance!

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. However, Magazines.com has not credited your account with the total miles because they have deemed part of your purchase ineligible per their terms and conditions stated on the AAdvantage eShopping web site:

Eligible on Magazine subscriptions only (automatically renewed subscriptions are not eligible).  Not eligible on purchases made with coupon or discount codes that are not found on this site. Journals and International Magazines are not eligible. Orders cancelled within 90 days are not eligible.

If you did not purchase something listed in these Terms and Conditions and you feel Magazines.com deemed your purchase ineligible in error, please respond to this email with a copy of your e-receipt for the purchase and we would be happy to investigate this further.

We look forward to your response.

Sincerely,
