My one transaction is still for the wrong amount and Magazines.com has gone silent, not responding to my emails. I also have not received the 2,500 bonus for spending $250 from Cartera.

Just received an email finally from Cartera saying that magazines.com still has not fixed the orders that were the issue and that they have no ETA of when the missing miles will be awarded

I did get an email from mags.com that they will look into the missing miles. The ones Cartera explained were "journals".

Is there a phone number that we can call the Cartera guys? I only emailed the AA Advantage Mall support email but no response in a several days except for a canned reply that they have received the email.

I bought $50 worth of mags in November. Didn't credit. When AAdvantage investigated magazines.com said I didn't go thru the portal. Which is ridiculous. I would not have gotten to their page, much less ordered mags without going through there. They said maybe I had too many browser windows open.
So I just cancelled the order. They said I will get my refund in 3-5 days. |
My January AA.com statement shows that the miles posted. However, my AA.com available award balance doesn't include the miles from magazine.com.
Hopefully when my February statement posts, these miles will be available. |

Sounds like a similar problem I had; miles from this promo "posted" on AA.com but never actually incremented to my mileage balance. Then the posting disappeared after my Jan statement. I had to call Customer Service to get it fixed and even then it took a while as the rep had to get a supervisor to look into it. They seemed rather puzzled about how this could happen.

Was the bonus for this listed as ESHOP MALL JUMPSTART SPEND BNS?
I thought that $250 was a 2500 mile bonus, mine posted under the above code for 1500 miles. Still nothing from Magazines.com for the other missing 15,000 miles and it has now been over 2 months. Never again from Cartera after this mess. They blame Mags, mags blame them, and we are left in the lurch with nothing.... JudyJFLA |
FINALLY!!! Yesterday I checked my AA account and the missing 15000 miles are posted, so now only missing to 1000 miles from the bonus (1500 instead of 2500). Tired of waiting, so I am happy to have what I got.

I am still waiting. Spoke to rep on phone and got a ticket saying that they are working on it. Checked again recently but no reply.
It's too much of a hassle running after them. |
I got the following email yesterday:
"Allow me to thank you for your prompt reply and inform you that the requested information was received for the purchase you made at Magazines.com on 11/30/2013 and it has been sent to our research department and it will take 4-8 weeks for a research request to be completed. After the research process is completed, you will receive an update via email." This is ridiculous. Count me among the ranks of those giving up on the AAdvantage Mall. It is just not worth it. |
