I never got my miles either. My AA balanced increased one day by 1200 miles and then decreased by 1200 the next day with no record or trail of what those miles were for or why they were taken away. I was assuming it was the magazine miles.

Almost another month since last contact, 6 more emails from me and no responses from cartera...over it

I jumped in on many of the holiday bonuses that Cartera had, including this one. I've had several problems with Cartera in the past as well, however every purchase of mine from November through January posted without a problem.

I'm not trying to defend Cartera here, but I've had much better luck with them the last few months. Granted, I didn't spend much at magazines.com for this bonus.

I've actually shifted all of my online shopping to the Marriott portal as theirs is far more reliable. In the future though, if decent bonuses like this pop up, I won't be hesitant to go through Cartera.

My daughter bought subscriptions in this deal in late November. For some reason, the miles were posted and then pulled back due to some algorithm. Upon inquiry, we found it was due to her sending some mags to two of her sisters and a good friend...hardly strange acts at that gift-giving season. After 24 emails back and forth, the miles have now posted. Persistence pays off. She just told me they offered her a 50 dollar gift certificate, too.

Called Magazines.com on the 88th day to cancel because only 3/4 of the miles ever posted (multiple requests to Cartera, etc.)
Will those be clawed back?

Probably initially, that's what happened to me. They wouldn't deal with me till I filed a complaint with the BBB then they resolved within 24h.

Just want to let you know that my miles did post after a few weeks of the transaction. It took a few emails back and forth but overall I am happy with the customer service provided by the Cartera folks - not so happy with the delay though.

Yup canceled mine on Friday night. Credit posted to my CC on Tuesday. Funny thing is, I ordered something from another vender thru AA portal over the weekend and they posted today!

I canceled my subscriptions b/c the miles didn't post.
American basically said there was nothing they could do.
Magazines.com said I didn't order thru the portal which is BS.

Just logged in and noticed miles from my 11/24 magazine purchase have recently posted. My last contact with Cartera was over a month ago and they said I was not eligible to get miles because I had purchased a "journal". I had given up. Very strange, but I'll take it!

Same here - my miles posted finally. 600 miles for a $10 purchase.
