Anyone have experience subscribing to a bunch of mags then cancelling the ones you don't like/want after the miles post and getting refund for remaining issues? Do they pull the miles 6 months later?

There's a few that the mrs. thinks she wants but I don't want to subscribe to 10 magazines and find out she only likes a couple.

At this rate it almost makes sense to just subscribe to a gazillion magazines... 1.7 cpm is a good deal.

If you have too many subs, you can send them my way, and I will get them to the VA hospital and clinic on all my appointments. A lot of wait time there, and I always re-read those ones from last year. This week I found out the poll numbers for the upcoming election, Romney is a bit behind!!

Cheers!

I think your subscriptions are eligible for auto-renew but you can cancel at any time.

Yes, exactly my concern, also. Immediately after doing checkout, I delelted my cc info. As soon as my new sub shows up, I will telephone/online make sure it's cancelled.

I know that I'm going to be bombarded with repeated renewal begging before sub expires but that's okay. '

Still can't believe it's 60 miles per $1 spend.

After placing your order or anytime prior to the auto-renew date, you can go into your account information online (requires opening an account with Magazines.com prior to or when placing order) and turning off auto-renew.

I've used magazines.com several times (@30 miles/$ via UR). I believe it IS set to auto-renew, but it is fairly straight forward to cancel that "benefit." As others have said, make sure to delete your credit info so you don't get auto-billed.

The stranger thing that has happened since I started subscribing via Magazines.com is that I routinely get "trial" subscriptions to magazines I would never subscribe to. GQ, Money, and Us Weekly all come to mind. The funny think is that GQ and Money came to my (female, and much less financially savvy) fiancé, while US Weekly came to me (a male, who is very out of touch and disinterested in celebrity gossip). I would worried I would eventually start receiving bills for these - but I never have.

Simply use a CC that's not going to be around next year. All of us should have plenty to choose from, his is FT after all!

So what charities can you send magazines directly to as a charitable contribution?
