Keep us posted on the other 3 applications. So far, no decline. Very impressive. Congrats.

I already have done the Marriott 70K and the Hilton 60K in previous churns. (I actually did the Marriott at 50K, but was able to bump to 70K by sending Chase an email.)

Also, I plan to convert the 70K Hawaiian Air miles into 140K Hilton points.

I really would like Southwest to work for me. It just doesn't.

It would be much lower except that one of the Amex cards has a $10,000 requirement. This obviously will be the toughest one to meet.
Lend the excess spend on Kiva.org. Works for me every time.

The spend is actually staggered pretty nicely until I reach 5 or 6 months out. At that time there is some "lumpiness" in the spend requirements. For example, $10K on the Amex Gold and $5K on the SPG.

Well, I did citiAA x3 = 225k, Amex PRG= 75k, spg x2=60k, chase sapp preferred=50k, and US barclays mc= 40k, for 450k total in several days. If you include the fact that i did the same for my wife, then technically this is 900k in several days.

You are a man with some big balls!! That is so intense!
I thought this was just going to be a post asking if other people had ever done, and you go ahead and post your churn of 13 freaking cards in one day, and you already have a 77% success rate! That's amazing.

Early 2011, and summer 2011, there was multiple times with 100k+ offers and huge transfer bonuses where you could clear 500k in like 6 cards if you count in all the lucrative transfer bonuses!
Capital One 110k point cards (could get pers & biz)
British Airways 100k card

50% transfer bonuses to Delta & British Airways = 112-150k miles per card:
Amex Platinum 100k card (could get pers & biz)
Amex Gold personal 75k card
Amex Gold Biz 100k card

I know I personally cleared 262,500 miles on 2 of those Amex cards alone.

Wow! I normally do 5 at a time and consider it almost too bold. But your story is truly inspiring

How often do you do app-o-ramas? How long has it been since you applied for a card? Just curious to compare your strategy to Frugal Travel Guys.

I have been loosely following the FTG strategy for the last year - a quarterly churn schedule. However, I don't expect I will be able to do a churn one quarter from now. It will likely be at least 2 and perhaps 3 quarters until my next churn.

Over the last year, I have also picked up bonuses for:

AAirlines Citi: 75K
BA Chase: 100K
CapitalOne: 100K
Sapphire: 100K
Marriott: 70K
Hilton (Citi): 50K
SPG Amex: 30K
Amer PR Gold: 65K (this is for the 15K initial bonus and the 10K per month bonus - I got hosed on the bump to 75K for the initial bonus)

Prior to this, my last applications were in August.

The OP did include a hotel card in that churn. Post #1 says:
Chase Priority Club - 60,000
Priority Club is IHG's program (Intercontinental, Crowne Plaze, Holiday Inn, etc). And like the Marriott card you're referring to, it comes with 0% forex, and a free hotel night cert on successive years which more than offsets the $49 annual fee (Marriott's annual fee after the first year is $85).

Btw, the Hilton Amex at 60K is not at all new. I got it several years ago.

Btw, if you're going to go after Hilton points, stopping at that 60K Amex offer makes no sense, because Hilton also has a Citi Visa which can give you more points with ilttle effort (even though nowhere near as many as 60K, it's also less effort than the 60K; I don't think you can get the full 60K without doing some paid HHonors stays, can you?).

I'm on track to do it. I call it my Evel Knievel churn. It includes 13 card applications (so far, 10 are confirmed approved). The beauty of it is that I only expect 7 or 8 inquiries. Once my credit score "bounces back", I may still have difficulty getting approvals due to a high number of new accounts, but I'll worry about that later. I estimate more than $5,000 in value from this churn.

Here is a list of the cards involved:
Amex Gold Business - 50,000
Amex SPG Business - 25,000
Amex Delta Gold Business - 30,000
Citi ThankYou Premier - 50,000
Citi ThankYou Preferred - 50,000
BoA Alaskan Airlines - 25,000
BoA Hawaiian Airlines - 35,000
BoH Hawaiian Airlines - 35,000
Chase Ink Bold Business - 50,000
Chase Priority Club - 60,000
Barclays Travelocity - 20,000
Barclays US Airways - 40,000
Discover Miles - 12,000

More details here.
That's impressive. I don't think your results are typical at all. Congratulations!

Some (perhaps all) credit card issuers look at the number of new accounts in the last 6 months/year to identify patterns of risk. My credit reports will show a huge spike in Nov. I will need to wait long enough to pursuade the underwriters that I can manage the credit I have been given.
