After weeks of seeing just the 40K offer, I tried hooterbif's approach below - and also landed on the 60K offer page. I currently have a Continental card (annual fee due in April so I want to cancel that), and I had a United card several years ago, so I had given up hope on this offer. But since I landed on the page, I took a screen-shot and proceeded with the application. Of course I got "under review - we will let you know by mail in 10 days" - lets see what happens...

Finally, I edited the URL to:

and landed at the 60,000 mile offer page!

Doesn't work for me. I get a little red 'x' in the address bar.

Edited: Now it works. I followed the steps exactly. I think the important thing is to be logged in at UA site.

When I enter the link given by wilsrd, it takes me straight to the 60k offer, without having to change anything.

logistics question

I am using my new Chase Explorer Sig Card and everytime I purchase something I love the sound of miles posting to my MP account.

I purchase lots of tix home for my college kids. Anyone know if the 1 free baggage offer will actually work for my daughter at checkin? Tix purchased with my card, flying on her MP number. Chase told me yes but I'm just not sure.

If I understand right, daughter will receive actual miles flown to her MP account and I will receive x2 miles to my MP account of actual spend. Sounds like a deal to me. Like triple dipping!

Lastly, do I have to show my CC when I use my Club pass? Just wondering if I can hand one off to my husband when he travels without me.

Ok, really lastly... My offer online (took screenshots) said 2 Club passes after 6-8 weeks and then annually after that. T&C with card only mentioned annually after 1st anniversary. When I talked to Chase they said they would make note of the discrepancy and I should receiver 2 passes within 6-8 weeks. Anyone have any experience about this?

Thanks much for your input!

Last night when I called to activate the new card received, the CSR on the phone said I would receive the two passes in 6-8weeks and then again at anniversary. I made note of her name, etc. She said she would be noting everything. The screens I have were the same thing, 6-8 weeks upon receiving card and again at anniversary. I dont see any problems for this, except just waiting 6-8weeks. Waiting is never my strong point.

No more groupon on Utimate Rewards but United will give you 4 miles per $1 spend on Groupon if you go through their United shopping site.

not sure how well documented this is, but maybe it will be helpful for some. i was just approved for the 60k united card. i was worried that they might not give it to me because 1) i have had a united mileage plus visa for close to a decade and 2) i thought that they might roll the continental card that was acquired in may last year into the united card, but alas, approved with no need for reconsideration. also got the sapphire preferred in late december. thanks chase!

I can confirm now that, as a current UA MP Visa Signature holder also (both accounts appear in my same Chase profile), the 50,000 miles are in my account, the day after the first statement closed.

Now we just have to decide how to close the old card before the annual fee comes due in April; whether to just close it or ask to see if they'll transfer the credit line to the Explorer card as part of that process (the old line had grown to what I consider a ridiculous amount over the years, and I had them split it in half to get the Explorer card approved). I'd be happy with the current Explorer limit, but suspect it's better to have the higher limit for future use in applying for other cards etc.

Thank you! I got the card last week but had been unable to get the offer to show for my wife. This did the trick! Thanks again!

Yes, Got OP post July (still active), applied and received 60k MP Explorer. Activated and used new MP...........now just waiting for statement to close and see if miles post. At card activation asked CSR to verify the 60k deal. She said yes that was the application I applied for. We shall see!

Any recent attempts for the 60k? I keep changing the 4 to a 6, but it auto directs to the 40 k page.

1) Are you logged into your UA account first, and 2) do you have any UA miles? Both of these need to be true in order to see the 60K offer.
