-When you get pissed about not paying for a hotel with a gift card to maximize CC points, cashback, and GC promos together.
-When you tell your GF that you will leave her for a woman that has status where you don't and cares about points as much as you. And she knows you are not bluffing.

-The office travel manager shutters when you walk into her office and announce that you need her to plan a trip for you.
-You executive assistant stares at you with disbelief when you hand her receipts for 5 different hotels for a 5 night stay in the same city.
-No one in the office wants to travel with you.
-No one in the family wants to travel with you.
-Your boss gives you the stink-eye as he slogs his way to the back of the plane.
-A colleague walks into your office asking for advice on earning FF miles, but then after and hour of charts and diagrams complains that it is way too complicated.
-Your heart leaps with joy when you are at the gate and hear "Ladies and Gentlemen, we may be oversold....
-You just don't understand people who fly non-stop.
-You think "direct flights" (one stop, same flight number) are proof positive that airlines gouge customers.
-Your spouse thinks you are certifiably insane, but expects to share in your upgrades.

Some of these might be inventions. I prefer reality:
1) "when the first website you opne..is flyertalk.com". Why would you do anything else?
2) When you buy a car and refuse to complete the deal unless you can pay with credit cards (for me this is now up to four times);
3) When you negotiate a house purchase and insist on paying for the house with credit cards (that took there cards and negotiation with both the banks and the seller, but I did it. All those AAdvantage and SkyMiles points are still there too.)
4) When you go to Seoul via CDG just for extra miles promotions.

what would be funny is if someone were to over pay the govt on their CC for their flight and the govt reimbursed them with... COINS

trust me... We do this when flying BOS-AMS using DL miles for all passengers. And we do this because we have a 2 year old. Thus, non stop IS the onlyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy way to go! It's one of the only 'mileage earning overrides' I allow in my household
and yes, my 2 year old son does have FF accts

1) You signed your kids up for their own frequent flyer accounts shortly after birth.
2) Your spouse knows better that to use cash for anything.
3) Your spouse has you negotiate with customer service to "cancel" credit cards.
4) Your spouse seems puzzled when you eat at a non-idine restaurant.
5) Your spouse stoped giving you a hard time about all of the above since the family flew first class internationally and stayed in an upgraded hotel suite on miles and points.
6) You're not as disapointed by paying taxes this year because it'll help meet that minimum credit-card spend.

But she still didn't fully get it.
The other night I told her I had booked a weekend trip, JFK-SFO-JFK in J, with a night at the Hilton on Fisherman's Wharf for $10. Her jaw hit the ground.
The next day she told me to cancel it because she doesn't want to waste the miles on a domestic trip when we can use them for a trip to HKG.
Maybe she gets it now!

when you convince your pregnant wife to fly to this special hospital you know about that's the best for child delivery because you happen to already KNOW there are promos for hotels near it, and a good MR can be had when you fly there together, and when you fly back with the new child, you get sign up bonus miles for him or her

When the term "Born Again" means you get to collect another new credit card customer sign on bonus for the same account you had last year before you cancelled it (Thank you Chase!
)
When the term "Going Postal" is a good thing, except for your poor mailman.
When the place "Where Everyone Knows Your Name" is a bank.
