Three days ago I applied online for the Personal 75K/$1500 Visa and Amex offers. I was denied for both; not a first-time AA cardholder.

Is there any opportunity for reconsideration, or am I out of luck?
You are out of luck as you are clearly not first-time cardholder and I really doubt there will be a reconsideration. That said, you can wait and reapply months later as I have been denied for same reason but approved months later for the same card.

But that disclaimer message was only posted for the spend $1500 offer.

The other offers below do not have a OFFER PAGE either so that is what confused me.

Was that disclaimer posted as a general comment for all offers or is there something I'm not seeing?

75k, Visa EXPIRED, BUT WORKS
75k, Visa Business EXPIRED, BUT WORKS
75k, Amex EXPIRED, BUT WORKS

As a cardmember, you’ll benefit from:
• 75,000 American Airlines AAdvantage® bonus miles after $1500 in purchases within the first 6 months of cardmembership
• $85 annual fee ($75 for the CitiBusiness® / AAdvantage® Visa® card) waived for the first 12 months of cardmembership*

Confirmed to work as of this edit, but DOES NOT have a usable offer page.

Is anyone else getting an error message when trying to use the 75k Visa link after clearing cookies?

After receiving the error, I have to refresh the page twice before the application page comes up.

I tried this with IE, Firefox and Chrome.

I was just about to apply but this got me worried.

Can anybody else try this and confirm?

Below is the screen that I get:

girlfriend just applied for 75/1500 and got approved for a Citi® Gold / AAdvantage® Visa®.

..what is this? will the bonus still be there? should she apply for the amex? annual fee still listed at 85.

edit: approved for signature amex. weird. hope she still gets the 150 all in

Just did the Personal Visa 75k/1500 and got message to call them. I have 2 other Citi cards and one has 48k limit (not sure how it ever got that high and barely use that card) so they had to transfer some of that credit line to the new card.

I am trying to maximize my lifetime miles so I can get as close to 2M before AA changes the rules later this year so I'll charge my $1500 ASAP to get the miles next month.

Wow! Talk about blind leap of faith. I was getting loading errors for the 75k VISA/$1500 link and would have to refresh constantly in order for the application page to load correctly and was really hesitant to apply as I thought maybe that offer was expired.

Approved and confirmed with CSR that this offer is still good to go! ^

Did anyone get approved for the Citi Business card without having to send in copies of bank statement, utility bill, etc.?

Yes, but it was last June. I suspect they've tightened things up a bit

Smile Business card approved, $1,500 within 6 months

Just got approved over the phone for the Visa business $1.5K for 6 months, after using the link on page 1. (so online application, then 3 minutes phone call, no documents neeeded)

FYI, have the following cards still open:
AA personal visa $1.5K (6 months ago)
AA personal MC about (4 yrs ago)

I read the previous messages on "timing" regadring BUSINESS cards, it looks like we need to wait > 90 days to apply to a new one?

Another data point: Wife applied for Biz Visa using her own name as biz and ss# and was approved. (Before we became wiser thanks to you guys, I had applied for the same card using some made up biz name and got rejected.)

The credit limit of $1K is irritating, but spend is only $1.5K, so manageable. In principle we have 6 months to do it, but due to potential changes to MM program at AA, we'd like to do it soon.

Having done several cards recently, we have run out of legitimate purchases. Which gift cards would qualify as purchases and not cash advance? Thanks.

today

applied for visa/75000/1500 online, had to call in. got approved over the phone from someone in SD.

applied for AE/75000/1500 online, pending again. used the "chat" and got approved as well.

representative confirmed:
"after the first year the annual fee will be $85.00."
"You will receive 75k airline miles after spending $1,500.00 within the first 6 months. "
