I've booked two pairs of tickets on Orbitz, and one pair on UAL and my sister is booking now.

Takes about 10 min on orbitz to get your ticket numbers.

You can upgrade on UAL for 30K miles each way or an SWU.

Don't think I can stand going to AKL any more over the next year - already going there for a cruise next feb/mar...

Aren't they amazing? Here you are shelling out hard cash for BUSINESS CLASS and they have the gall to charge you a ticketing fee!

i don't think my tickets have been issued by UAL yet, and still showing pending for ticket numbers on Orbitz. I bet UA will not issue the tickets...I may have missed it by a few minutes...

I'd be trying on ual.com. They generally issue tickets instantly.

One final time: A stopover in Sydney is not possible at the $1465 price at the time of ticketing because of the ticketing rule called Higher Intermediate Point. So, give up on that idea and let this be the last post on the subject.

Yes if you want it to be re-priced...They'll love you to do that.

It's not possible to do a stopover in SYD. The HIP check kicks in and the price is ~4* higher.

It is refundable.

According to the rules, you will not be able to add a stopover later. In reality, YMMV.
