Not as far as I know. Being as it was up for quite some time and marketed as a campaign fare, I think it was a sale meant to drive business/buzz to this route.

You guys applying for a visa? Thought to use the visa free rules, but can’t because no Country C. I’m having doubt how to explain this to the Chinese. ‘Yes, only 1 day. Yes, see there was this promotional fare’ 🙄😏

I was originally thinking of getting the transit visa, but I heard they have a 10 year visa multi-entry visa, so I might just go for that.

Recommended. Going to the Chinese embassy for a new visa is a horrific experience. I picked up a 10-year in 2015 to avoid having to go more often (in the past had been getting 1-year visas).

Nah, I haven't informed her of EITHER of the MR related side trips I will be doing in June, I have dropped hints about the first one, but I think i'll keep CAN under wraps until closer in.
